Bikaner is a vibrant, dust-swirling desert town with a fabulous fort and an energising outpost feel. It’s less dominated by tourism than many other Rajasthan cities, though it has plenty of hotels and a busy camel-safari scene, which attracts plenty of travellers looking to avoid the crowding that occasionally occurs around Jaisalmer-based safaris.
Women Voyagers had visited the Gandhi Ashram.
Narsingh bhai was weaving the cloth there. An entire day's effort is required to weave a 12 mt cloth.
It's a very tedious process and has to be done with immense concetration. They have been doing this for years and from generations. Hats off to these artists to keep our tradition alive.
I too tried my hand at it. Have a look.

It is Charity here to tell you about some amazing off-resort activities in one of my favorite places! When people hear Cancún, they think of perfect beaches, sun, fun, and margaritas! If you are like me, you also love to learn more about the people and the history of the places you visit. When in the Cancún area, I LOVE to visit the Mayan Ruins that are an easy day trip while in Cancún. I have been to Coba, Tulum, and Chichén Itzá. Walk these hallowed grounds, and you get a feel for the amazing ingenuity of the Mayan people. Chichén Itzá is a UNESCO World Heritage site and is one of the seven wonders of the new world! The ruins are breathtaking and a great way to feel one with nature! While having lunch, stop to take a dip in a beautiful cenote to round out the experience! THREE. MORE. DAYS! 💦💦
Can you believe that the next time we visit this place it won’t just be the two of us standing there... there will be 10 of you too!!! In just three days (Thursday) you will have the opportunity to secure your place on the most epic group trip ever! 🙌
Although we’re most definitely excited for this, we must admit - we’re also super nervous as we have never done anything like this before... BUT we’re ready for it! Life is all about braving the unknown and taking on new challenges, and we’re strong believers that if you have a solid game-plan before you take the jump, only good things can come from that! So throw off the bowlines and lets get this ship sailing! Show of hands, who’s joining us?!
And just like that, #DettyDecember is complete. 2019 was definitely another one for the books,!
Super honored & grateful for all the new and old faces that joined us this trip. We are so appreciative of you guys trusting us to bring you guys all the way to West Africa.
Lagos 2020 coming soon!😉 #DiscoverGidi#AllBlackEverything

I HAVE A SECRET TO SHARE!
For the last six months, I have been working to launch a new website, and I’m finally ready to share it with you! ✈️ MultigenerationalVacations.com is a new planning tool to help extended families, large groups, and multigen travelers plan the perfect vacation. We are slowly building content, but I wanted to share with you because I am a terrible secret keeper!
We have been on a cruise, visited Disney, traveled to Puerto Rico (this photo), and more with the grandparents, and we wish we had more opportunities. I’m hoping this site inspires you to travel more with your extended family.
You can find us on Instagram at @multigenvacations and we have a Facebook group, Multigen Vacations, where you can share your inspiration, ask questions, and help others plan their family trips. We hope you will join the discussion!
