Lately my intuition has been leading me to some wild places..
Completely pushing me outside of my comfort zone
Chasing dreams and ideas that seem almost surreal, yet actually now look like they will likely come to fruition
It started with a friend sending me something that was literally exactly what I was looking for - I had a ‘little’ idea, didn’t share with anyone about it, and she wrote me a few days later.
That was the confirmation I needed 🤗🧘♀️
That doesn’t mean it’s not uncomfortable. Doesn’t mean there’s no limiting beliefs popping into my mind constantly. Doesn’t mean it’s going to be easy.
I have no clue what I’m doing, but I’m committed to leveraging the support I have around me to MAKE it happen.
What about you, do you connect with your intuition? What does that look like for you? 🧘♀️📿
Each year in Halifax, we're proud to expose young minds to #Diversity & #BlackHistory in schools through the Halifax Black Film Festival.
Halifax is overcoming a long history of segregation toward Black Nova Scotians who have been in Nova Scotia for several centuries - The oldest black canadians community.
It's an honor for us at the Fabienne Colas Foundation to get to organize the Halifax Black Film Festival #HBFF20 to foster Diversity, Discovery and "Togetherness". One way to eradicate this fear and devide amongst the population is to start exposing young minds to black stories through powerful films. The HBFF Youth Program also allows youths in Nova Scotia schools to celebrate Black History Month.
Earlier today, we were happy to screen the 4 short films of Being Black In Canada (Halifax) at various high schools in #Halifax .
Big day today: SPRINTER opens the Halifax Black Film Fest tonight (Feb. 28), 7PM at Park Lane Cineplex and runs till March 1st, 2020. Tickets and full program: www.HalifaxBlackFilm.com
NB: These pics are from our previous years youth programs.
#Throwback to a year ago. My body could do everything I needed it to do.
Me now👉🏾 “I wish I could go to the gym right now.”— That’s something I never thought I’d hear myself say, but I did and I’ve been craving it for the past 4 weeks. Especially looking back at these photos.
Recovering from an injury is tough, at times it’s even been brutal. But it’s made me appreciate all of the things that I could once do on my own. The tiniest things like making a cup of coffee, doing the dishes, walking down the stairs, or taking an object from one room to the next. All of these things are now difficult for me to do without help.
I’ve been telling myself to push through the pain, but also reminding myself not to overdo it.
Like everything else in life, healing takes a lot of time and patience. Those are two things that I’m still trying to accept. I will get there eventually and when I do, I’ll be getting back into the gym.
☔️🌧 It’s a rainy day in Halifax & you don’t have lunch sorted... whatcha gon’ do!?
