Hope y’all had a great Thanksgiving! 🧡🦃
I spent all last week in my childhood home, only left the house to go to the grocery store, wore one pair of pajamas all week (hehe my mom was not pleased), drank 100 bottles of sparkling grape juice, ate so many snacks, got in some mandatory family fights, played a million rounds of blokus the best board game ever, watched holiday movies every night with my sister Carmen, and basked in the chaos that comes with the holidays!

I’ve been a student of life lately. Practicing gratefulness daily and I am such a better person because of it. Friends, when you fall back from negativity, poverty thinking, and focusing on other people, your life gets so much better. 🌟 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
God is real. Your dreams are real. Your soul is real. Alignment is real. Your purpose is real. Intention is real. The struggle is real. The pain is real. But, OH MY GOD, if you stay faithful and listen and learn, the reward is the REALest. 🙌🏽🙏🏽
Happy bday to my beautiful, talented and accomplished friend @beautybydrcat We have certainly grown up a lot since our days at UCLA medical school! I’m proud to see how much you’ve accomplished my beautiful! Here’s to many more years!💓

When I think about my childhood I think about my Dad and two of the big things he did in my life. While I could think of many more, those two were introducing me to the outdoors and bringing me along in his work as owner of a plumbing business. In his business I learned attention to detail, how to interact with clients, and how to replace a toilet! In the outdoors we did everything from hiking and backpacking, to biking and kayaking and even caving. Through our adventures in the outdoors I got curious with my Dad’s two-megapixel camera, wanting to capture the views and the fun we were having. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I continued with photography as a hobby through high school, not getting serious until college when I joined my school’s PR department as an intern photographer. While I was getting degrees in music (saxophone) and business I was also shooting multiple times a week for four years, capturing every event imaginable at a college. Right after college my wife and I were married and here we are five years later with two boys in our family, Nathaniel and Reuben! I’ll share more about them in a later post, but in short, it has been an absolute blast to share with them the things that we love, mainly, music and the outdoors. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
There you go, just a few things I'm extremely thankful for this year :) How about you?
Big thanks to @stan_dng for this and many more great family shots!
