Days off are sooo important. I cannot stress this enough. I know plenty of people who work 7 days a week because life in expensive and that’s what’s got to be done. But taking a day off every now and then to reset and recharge is imperative to mental health. For me, days like yesterday spent hiking, beaching and talking story with my friends is what makes the grind worth it. Like most people, I work a lot. I work long days, 5-6 days a week, but I’m constantly reminded of why. I do it so I can live in this beautiful place. I do it so I can spend time with people I love. I do it so I can be in the ocean once a week. I do it so I can take time to enjoy the beauty all around me. That’s my “why,” what is yours?
If you’re why is because you “have to,” then let me challenge you to find the beauty in the little things everyday, get some hobbies, spend time with nature, or anything else that’s gives your days more value. I used to be that person who worked 3 jobs, 7 days a week. I was always stressed, barely getting by, always tired, and consistently get trapped. If you find reasons outside of bills to work hard, i promise you, your life will be so much more fulfilled, and you will feel so much less exhausted. So, what is your why?

“Kauai is such a unique place with many things to experience yet the relaxation aspect was what intrigued me the most. Once I met Chloe I knew off the bat my experience was going to be more than amazing. Words cannot properly describe the intensity of the connection I felt during this experience. Im not an expert in yoga yet I was able to submerge into a world of bliss and self appreciation. 100/100 recommend this experience!” - Jose, Kauai Waterfalls Meditation Excursion 🧘♂️
A thought on my birthday...
Birthday is to thank my parents for giving me birth and to thank the universe for giving me everything that I can live on this beautiful earth. I thank everyone for the support and love they have given me to be who I am right now in this right moment.
Stillness. Are you waiting for something to happen in this video? Because, sorry to say, nothing is going to happen, and yet the important work is taking place. Learning to be with yourself in stillness and in silence (which I’m not demonstrating here since there’s music playing) is one of the simplest things and yet most difficult. At first, stillness + silence = boredom, but that’s only because the body and mind are so accustomed to running at 100mph. In order to really invite peace and recovery into your daily life, you must get comfortable with being “bored”. /
So I call this “boredom practice” because it is something that must be practiced, like a handstand, and the more you practice the skill the more adept you become at the skill. I won’t make assumptions, but based on experience I can guess that with enough “boredom practice” in your life, stillness and silence will eventually become a place of refuge for you where body/mind/spirit are at ease. Stillness and silence will become your baseline, and 100mph won’t sound so attractive any more. /
Onward in stillness 🙏🏽

“The goddess has never been lost. It is just some of us have forgotten how to find her.” .
It important to keep working on and keeping in touch with ourselves. It is amazing how fast we can be reliant on others and outside things for happiness/purpose if we aren’t careful. Keep investing in yourself to the point that no matter what crazy curveball the world throws your way you are good and you never forget how to find your goddess. .
I can’t not say enough how hard flowing in the sand is. Here a video of the struggle. Wishing I was back in a warm beach right about now!

|| healing hurts. But it’s in the pain that the gift of strength lies. The cracks in self can no longer be denied, they beckon us to look deeper • To ask the questions that have gone unasked, to think the thoughts and feel the feelings that for so long have remained dormant, to reach out for help and find answers • And in that process we grow in understanding, we see things we have never seen, we learn to give ourselves the love that others haven’t given, we learn to heal so that we can become healers • so that we can live in freedom and purpose • so that we can live the lives we are all meant to live. ||
Cheeky yoga session in this stunning location?! 🧘🏼♂️ YES please!
Most of our guests have little to no experience in yoga. The good news is - no experience is needed! You’ll be in save hands with our one an only @veronikablanar as our yoga teacher. Some of our patas might not even be very excited about yoga, but as the camp progresses and the more we surf, the more everyone asks for yoga and begins to enjoy it! 💛
What’s your relationship with yoga?

The 3 Doshas Vata, Pitta & Kapha
Daily practices to help with imbalances
More details on our Grand Opening!! Sunday, October 20th from 3pm-7:30pm!! Don’t miss it! Free classes PLUS @inuislandales@honoluluhenna and more will be there! (swipe to see the schedule for the event)
We paddled out to the mokes, enjoyed a picnic on the kayak, explored around to the back of the island and enjoyed swimming in the perfectly clear water. The “old me” probably would’ve said no to taking a self care day during the week. But I would’ve missed out on so much. I learned so much about this sweet friend and what she’s been through and it just makes me like her more. We have such different pasts and yet we’ve crossed paths here on this island and I’m so glad we did. Thanks @rachelportyyoga for inviting me on this adventure and here’s to many more girl talks and healing in the ocean 🌊 (bonus: I got my upper body workout in 💪🏼 oh and the second pic is me literally trying to keep my head above water 😂)

Our outer world is a direct reflection of our internal one. Bring your attention/awareness to your inner dialogue as often as you can....You will learn so much about yourself and the conditioned responses within you which shape and create your outer world. Through creating space between our thoughts and brining in stillness we’re able to begin recognizing our conditioned thoughts/reactions and bring about lasting change both shifting perspectives along with the trajectory of our lives......Eventually we begin to de-escalate from complete identification with conditioned responses, replacing them with presence and awareness of thoughts. ...This is referred to to as Consciousness, Mindfulness, Self Awareness, Presence etc...
“I feel that yoga is vegan because it is the conscious embodiment of putting compassion in action. Liberation is for all sentient creatures, not just humans.Yoga is about awakening to universal truth- Animals are not ours to eat, wear, experiment on, or use for entertainment. The law of karma is real. As Shantideva wrote, "May the slander, harm And all forms of abuse That anyone should direct towards me Act as a cause of their enlightenment.”

The earth element, one of the Earth’s five elements that I always lean on when I need to find grounding and strength within me. Weather it is walking bare foot, digging my fingers into the sand, or ground based asanas with deep slow breathing.
The energy of the earth helps us ground ourselves, to find our sense of place within our body. Mother Earth encourages us to become fully present through reconnecting with our senses, to get out of our heads for a moment, and enhance our deeper connection with our physical body. Our vehicle to life.
We just posted a new Element Series Yoga Class on YouTube, this one today is focused on this element of earth. A grounding, peaceful, and gentle practice that anyone can do. A practice that will help you surrender to the gravity of the Earth, and connect you deeper to your body and everything else that surrounds you.
