Mt. Dhaulagiri (8167m) shone perfectly in the early morning light as our airplane banked right to go up the Kali Gandaki Valley towards Jomson. It's the seventh highest mountain in the world. 📷: @mohgraphy
Nepal 2016. Thorong la circuit.
.. This indeed my favorite picture I made back then. This was a small shop placed on the way to the pass. You could buy Coca Cola or botteled water, a few snacks and you could leave any empty bottles you had. Any “garbage“ can be a resource when you live at 4200m.
.. The only way products were brought there were small horses. The expiration date was something optional on the packages and when you really need sugar at that altitude, you really don't care that your soda is a few months older than it should.
.. The man in the picture was the seller standing there in full quietness, peace and bliss waiting for the few tourist that were passing each day in the morning.
.. This is the first time I am sharing this pictures. It was taken at 4200m high on the way to the Thorong Base Camp. #tbt

Tent with a view: On our first sunrise hike to Chasm lake, we came across this scene where a climber was getting ready to climb the east face of Longs Peak. We stopped there to take this image and in the process missed the sunrise at chasm lake. I often wonder whether it was a good decision to stop here and unpack all my camera gear to make this image. Every time I heart says the same thing. Its easy to get a sunrise view of Longs peak from Chasm lake. But its really really rare to have a well lit tent while the moon sets behind Long Peak. And that for me makes this image very special.

NEW POST! Oh wow, can we all take a moment to appreciate just how long that took? New on the blog, my experience of altitude sickness while climbing Mt Kinabalu in Borneo. How does it feel? Tap that link in bio to find out :) Pictured - one of the porters who carry food up to base camp and waste down to the park entrance.
Kala Patthar. 5545m. Awake 3 in the morning for start the trekk at 4 without breakfast. This was the toughest trekk and even the most athletic struggled up and some may have returned halfway. For me this was a main goal and thanks to my forehead and a big portion stubborness I reached the top. Here is a great spot at Everest and Nuptse (my favourite). I would love to stay longer if it not was for the really cold temp and after getting down and a breakfast we had about 5-6 hours trekking ahead. #getgoing#tomtomsports#mindandbodyinbalance#trekking#hiking#highaltitude
