The chipmunks didn’t fall for my camouflage, I don’t know why 🧐🧐🧐.
I wonder how many animals are in frame but hidden by the trees and fog.
I’m looking to plan a few hikes in the spring and summer and am looking for advice on good spots. Where is your favourite hike? I dont care how far away it is.

Lately I have been very micro focused. When that happens everything is magnified beyond what it actually is. It causes me worry, grief and endless emotions of failure.
A series of events over the course of the past few months shifted my large scope outlook and my libraesque “see it from every side views” and took the smallest of things and magnified them to consume my life preventing me from allowing good things into my life.
My mountain adventures always remind me of the bigger picture, what I love the most in life and re ignite that lust for life and desire to move forward.
It’s a swift kick in the ass to realize that everyone will always have a lot going on at the moment but not to micro focus into those things as what is truly important will prevail if you allow your ego to step aside.
A moment of sunshine in between all this rain ☔️☀️

Meet your next hiking snack - maca tahini energy balls: LINK IN BIO for recipe.
Last week, Renew Retreats hosted a Hiking Nutrition Workshop with Holistic Nutritionist Jennie Sokol. We covered everything from the perfect breakfast to eat before a hike to supplements you can take post-hike to improve recovery - but easily the most popular topic was the snacks you should bring on a hike.
Jennie shared her popular maca tahini energy balls recipe with our guests and we’re sharing it with you now too! Hop over to welcometorenew.com or tap the link in our bio to find the recipe.
Welcome to shoulder season. ❄️ When it’s not raining the alpine is a confusing mix of unconsolidated snow and the snowline is an ever changing phenomenon. Glaciers are out, rock is out, trail running is questionable above sea level. But moments like this one can happen which make getting out all the more worth it. 💙
Alot has changed in the 4 years between these photos. We're island living, the evolution of Lincoln's hairstyle continues and I'm proud to say I know how to properly dress for outdoor, rainy, cold weather. Thus reducing my complaints of being cold to Lincoln. We have 7 years together next month and if the future holds more island and worldly adventures with you I'm good with that ♥️

A beautiful fall hike to the falls
Hardy Falls ~ Peachland BC
🍂 Fall’s brilliant paint box makes a beautiful consolation prize to the end of summer. In fact, autumn holds its own as one of the best seasons to visit British Columbia because of the changing fall colours. Sure, you need to throw on a few extra layers for chilly nights. But by day it’s often crisp, sunny afternoons and blue skies aplenty. 🍁
