Habitat for Humanity knows that safe, decent and affordable shelter plays an absolutely critical role in helping struggling families find a new path forward. Affordable homeownership fosters the skills and confidence they need to invest in themselves and their communities. NETHFH future homeowners contribute 350 sweat equity hours working with community volunteers on the construction of new homes. A total of 200 hours must be completed, by the family, prior to beginning the construction of their own home. Regardless of hours completed, the family is required to participate in all phases of the construction of their home and complete a minimum of 56 hours of homeowner and financial literacy education. #NETHFH#Homeowner#northeastexashabitatforhumanity#volunteer#nonprofitorganization

Last year turning 30 was pretty epic spending it with some of the best people on this earth! I always try to find a way to make each birthday more unique than the last one. This year, I decided to go and get a house! As of April 2nd and my final day being 30, I closed on this home that I found back in January! It was the first of many houses I looked at and I fell in love instantly. It’s so odd having a birthday during these crazy pandemic times. It’s gonna be weird not sharing cake with some of my closest friends or getting a big hug from everyone my family but I do get to spend it moving into my first home. These times are a reminder that we are lucky to have what we have. I’ll miss some of the birthday traditions, but at the end of the day... I’m just happy to have a birthday, amazing friends, a super supportive family, an adorable pup and now a beautiful home that I’ll probably never, ever leave! #birthday#chicago#homeowner#portagepark#thirtyone#sohappy#gonnastayhomeinmyNEWhome

Today is autism awareness day and this is something that affects my day-to-day career.
I teach Special Education Preschool. This means that I have an array of students in my class but let’s just say that there are some with autism.
I don’t talk about my job a whole lot due to confidentiality but these students deserve recognition and respect for all their accomplishments.
I am beyond proud of these tiny humans who work so hard at Tasks that others find simple. I get to celebrate small victories with them and I wouldn’t trade it for the world.
We focus on the abilities of students with autism(or any special need), not the disabilities. All students can learn and make progress. It might be small but the progress is there and deserves to be acknowledged.
My students teach me everyday and I’m honored to get to work with them. We learn together as a team. Almost anything I do can be tied back to my students. My mind never stops thinking about them and how to be a better teacher for them. They deserve the best and I try to do that for them, everyday.
So, yes, I celebrate today as autism awareness day but I’m not always just aware, I accept and respect it. I’m part of the world that teaches them.
It hurts my heart not to be in the classroom right now. It’s my world, my passion, and my challenge in my life and this “break” is not easy. I want to be in the classroom with my students.
I wore blue/teal for my workout today in honor of autism. 💙 13/100☑️ #teacherswhoworkout#myjourney#fostercare#beingmybestme#gradstudent#mm100#beachbodycoach#prechool#spedteacher#pregnancyready#notaphase#fitness#motivation#positivity#furmom#homeowner#rememberyourwhy#ownwhoyouare#challengecreateschange#makingmyfatcry#family#friends#creatingahappylife#adoptionlove#sassy#feisty#respectyourself

A lower mortgage payment would come in pretty handy for most right now. But what in the actual EFF is going on with interest rates? Is a refinance your solution? Trouble is, you need income in order to qualify for a refinance.
This is where Forebearance comes into play. Our industry is trying to get our ahead of a housing crisis, and step one is to avoid mass defaults on mortgages. If you are experiencing a loss of income due to #covid19 , you can call your servicer to apply for mortgage forebearance. This would pause your mortgage payments for a period - 90 days to 6 months to a year.
NOTE: This is not mortgage FORGIVENESS. You will have to make this payments eventually. Either the interest will be added to the end of your loan, or due in full at the end of the forebearance period, or spread out over increased mortgage payments until you are caught back up. Just make sure you are clear on the terms your servicer is laying out.

"After a terrible, dishonest, experience with an HVAC company sent out by my home warranty company, Jake was able take care of our heating issue in a snap. We apparently paid for a repair that didn't work and wasn't covered by the warranty company! Be careful of the warranty companies and who they send out. Lesson learned. From now on we won't call anyone but Christmas!" - Jodi H. #customerreviews

Answer: Porcelain tile falls under the ceramic category. However, it is stronger and less water absorbent than ceramic tile. These attributes allow porcelain to be used outside and inside on floors and walls.

Home Owners...You or someone you know might be eligible for a forbearance under the CAREs Act.
Here are a few key points:
-A forbearance is not a modification.
-A forbearance is not forgiving your payments.
-With a forbearance you'll eventually have to catch up on your payments. You could be required to pay a lump sum at the end of the forbearance period or the amount you owe could be spread out over a period of time. Make sure you know what's required of you.
-You'll have to call your servicer and say "I'm not able to make my mortgage payment because of COVID-19 and I'm requesting a forbearance on my mortgage." The servicer cannot coach you on how to ask for a forbearance. -If you do successfully get a forbearance granted we suggest you get everything in writing and keep it for your records. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This is something that will be highly misunderstood and could potentially cause people putting their homes at risk if they get too deep into a hole. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
While mortgage loan officers cannot handle a forbearance application, they may have other solutions for you. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to discuss your options!

There’s no doubt all of our work situations look quite a bit different these days. For me personally, working from home 100% of the time has been tough to adjust to. 👩🏼💻
Here are some tips to help you stay productive while working from home:
• Stay on a schedule; treat each day like you are going into the office 🗓
• Get dressed 👗👚👖
• Designate an office space - not the couch 💻
• Keep pen and paper close by 📝 . • Schedule “coffee chats” every week to stay connected with coworkers 📞
• Take breaks - away from your work ⏸
• Limit distractions 📵
Hopefully these tips help! We are all in this together 🤍
The only thing that makes me more excited about our kitchen is imagining our kitchen during CHRISTMAS 🎄 275 DAYS LEFT!!!

The kitchen is the heart of a home ❤️ ours is becoming my favorite part of the house! The floating shelves made the biggest difference 😍 for those wondering, we couldn’t find any floating shelves that we loved, and the ones we liked were insanely expensive! So we made them ourselves using wood from Home Depot ☺️ details are in my “home” highlights! We’re still adding some finishing touches before I start full blown decorating, like crown moulding, baseboards around the island, etc. And there’s a big empty space behind the teddy bear because we moved the cabinet up. Any guesses what we’re going to build there? 😁

Hanging out with this guy since we can’t hang out with friends 🙃🧸 what are your weekend plans? We are going to finish the floating shelves in the kitchen, and I’m going to clean clean clean everything.

My clients have been renting literally a few houses down the street from their new home and when they saw the ‘Coming Soon’ sign out in front of the house, they knew they wanted this home. Luckily I was able to secure their home for them the first day it hit the market. To top it off, I was able to negotiate a price reduction and seller credit towards their closing costs!
Along with hoping for everyone’s safety and health, I’d like to support the Bay Area with information regarding recent economic changes due to COVID-19. I am sure you may be hearing many different things about the housing market due to this. Residential Real Estate services are now deemed essential, and I am here to answer any questions you may have regarding your home and how this may affect any future real estate goals. Feel free to either sending me a private message or giving me a call or text. I am never too busy for my clients and their referrals.
Wishing everyone peace, love and comfort during this tough time.

Missing the first home we bought together. With all the chaos of delays with our new home, we found ourselves missing the home we sold. Our first home and safety zone. ❤️We sold this home in January and never in a million years could we have imagined that we would sell our home and almost 3 months later still not be in a home. We DO miss this security blanket that we had. This home journey has taken us in so many different directions in light of what’s going on in the world. Never could we have planned for this. On one side we are glad we sold our home before this pandemic and on the other we miss having a place that is ours. We keep saying to each other that it will make getting into this home all that much sweeter. 🙌🏾And the moment we get these keys I probably will cry my eyes out. We have been thru many obstacles as a couple and this is probably one of the hardest due to so much uncertainty. But we are doing it as a team, and stay encouraged that we WILL get across this finish line! This will only make us that much more stronger to take on whatever the next season will bring! ⭐️Who else is ready to overcome this! 🙋🏾♀️ #marriagegoals#homeownership#homebuilding#couplegoals
