I'm always more motivated to clean when the weather is miserable! So today is mission tidy the house! However as soon as I clean and tidy up, there will be dog hair everywhere again as Loki is currently blowing his coat!
📍 East Hendred
The villagers here have been busy knitting figures and animals to create a trail around the village.
If you pop in to Hendred Stores they’ve got trail sheets available for a donation to the NHS.
With the Ridgeway National Trail at one end of the village and lots of charming cottages it’s the perfect place for an afternoon stroll 🌈
MASTER B E D R O O M 🤍🔥 Ahhhh I can’t begin to describe how happy I am with this Bedroom glow up, I’ve been majorly wanting to make a statement in this room due to the size / shape but we had a nightmare with panelling (due to the old uneven walls!) so a statement wallpaper caught my eye and I fell in love. Teamed with our new furniture it just looks perfect ✨

I managed to snag this pic before the sun went away - looks like a cloudy one here in London. I’m a tiny bit glad as I’m hoping a bit of rain means what grass we do have will get some much needed water.
These cloudy skies fit the somber mood we all have felt as a result of what is happening around us. I remain hopeful that we will connect and act and listen and bring the much needed change this beautiful world needs now more than ever.
Happy Wednesday everyone 😆 hope you all have a lovely day!! I’m glad the rain has come to water the garden ha, but I’ll be wanting the sun again this weekend!! Trying the Spring Awakening melts today from @sunshinemelts_ 🤩!!!!!
Good Morning! Every Little Smile, Kind Comment, Appreciation Can Touch Somebodys Heart. No One Is Born HAPPY, But Every Single One Of Us Has The Ability To Create It!
Good morning beauties! My small landing is almost finished, one door left to paint white and then those mirrors will be coming down ready to rip off the 1930s wall paper 😅
I hope you are all ok today. Have a successful day whatever you do. .

At least we have a part of kitchen ! Sink has arrived, kitchen to follow eventually
Number 2 from Wednesday’s post is one of my fave reasons for small home, big life: You’ll buy less stuff to fill it up. And maybe just like simplicity achieved only on the other side of complexity is really fully realized, maybe minimalism is really fully appreciated only after putting up with a bunch of stuff. But regardless how you get there, paring down for us has been a cathartic journey in our early mid life quest toward appreciating the journey more.
Fumio Susaki’s book “Goodbye Things: The New Japanese Minimalism” was a refreshing listen for me 2 years ago after a trip to Japan where I experienced masterful use of space and much less clutter in things and design. Light and placement of those fewer pieces is critical too, not only for visual appeal but for how it makes you feel, it let’s you breath and think. Feng Shui which literally translates as “wind-water” is an ancient Chinese practice of using forces to harmonize people with there surroundings which sounds like a bunch of hooey, but as I travel around and visit bungalows and cottages I do feel more calm and positive when the layout, design and contents are well placed, well lit and not cluttered. Gives me the mental space to try to be more thoughtful and grateful. Anybody else feeling less may be more sometimes too? Could be me.

It’s Sunday and the sun is still shining! I know there is so much going on in the world right now. I’m thankful for IG to always distract me from the sad things happening around us. Prayers for all people right now. Anyone else come here to escape politics and negativity? .
We finally got our chicken coop finished! I have 5 girls out there and i could watch those chickens all day! They are really funny! Can’t wait to start getting eggs! I’ll show you the coop in my stories today!!

I love this! Anyone else dance around their kitchen?! This sign is perfect because I literally crank up my music on cleaning days! Head over to @ebenezer_market and grab one of these cuties!! .
My stove is linked in my Like to KNOWit! .
This couch. I absolutely can’t believe how much I love this couch. I am so happy we got this right before COVID hit because we have spent so much time laying around on it watching TV. Such a great impulse buy! It’s called Broyhill Naples and it’s from @biglots .
