Bedroom refresh complete ✔️ Yay! This all started weeks back when we went into quarantine, and I’m so happy with how it all came together. It began with “just some new prints for the frames beside the bed”, but once they arrived my mind went right into re-decorate mode! Everything was very affordable, just a light refresh can really transform a room into something that feels totally new!
After receiving the prints, I placed an order with ikea for new pillow cases, wall sconces, curtains & a cute pink pot. Once everything arrived we hung the sconces, switched the pillows, and while hemming the curtains I decided to spray paint the curtain rod black to match all the black accents in the room. I also decided to bring the snake plant in from our living room and picked up a new succulent for the nightstand. Last week I got word @homesensecanada re-opened and made a mad dash there after work where I found this incredible light fixture! Hubby hung this baby up and I can’t get enough of it, I have been hunting for a new one for oh so long!
This room is bright & airy during the day and so cozy at night ✨
Reworking an existing space usually forces me to think outside of the box, and has resulted in some of my favourite design decisions. The stone wall was actually original to this space. By swapping out the wood stove for a fireplace and adding a custom concrete mantel, it became more of a focal point in room. You can swipe over to see the before!
Took an unplanned tour of the Al Ringling mansion in Baraboo WI today.
Built in 1905 (completed in 1906) this mansion was built for the oldest brother of the Ringling Brothers, of circus fame, at the cost of $100,000 (when most homes cost closer to $2,000 to build). This incredible gem is finally being restored to its original glory after being an Elks Lodge for over 70 years.
The mansion is currently undergoing extensive renovations, and when complete will operate as a bed and breakfast and also a brewery. During restorations a beer recipe believed to be original to the Ringling family was found and will be the centerpiece of the brewery.
It is currently open for tours, and it is a must see. The detail in this house is simply jaw dropping!
You can use the link to visit their website for more information on planning your visit! I have it on my list to return so I cam book a room and enjoy a beer!! https://alringlingmansion.com/ @ringlingmansion
Our dining room is probably the least used space in our home which is why I made it my mission to make it look clean and inviting so that maybe my family would sit together to eat more often 🥰 .
I sold our old dining table and used that money to buy a new one #savingmoney 🤗 I also added some plants to add life and color to the room and new curtains! .
We also added a pair of floating shelves with some decor pieces that we already had at home! The three little mugs on the bottom shelf were actually gifted to my mom by one of her relatives in Mexico 🇲🇽 They were stored away and I saw the opportunity to use them as decor prices and it worked perfectly! .
Swipe to see the before of this exact photo! And keep swinging to see the Before and After of the complete dining room area 🤩

Sharing one of my absolute favourites this morning. Not only is @michelle_baskinteriors one super talented lady, but she’s also an incredibly kind and lovely human being as well. .
Michelle teamed up with @beaandcostyle for the styling component of her Hampton project and boy oh boy did both their skills combined create one amazing home! Bea from @beaandcostyle is another favourite of mine, Some one I also look up to and can rely on for a light hearted chat about non interior related life things.
If you’re not following these ladies already, you’re missing out 🙌🏼
Stunning photography by @gemmola .

We share a lot of beautifully designed rooms, but we think @citysage's creative conversion of this hybrid office-nursery takes the cake!⠀
We love how she took advantage of a small space with lots of storage but maintained a grown-up feel by using neutrals and lots of texture! The meticulously decorated shelves don't hurt either.⠀

✨YOU KNOW WHAT TIME IT IS....✨⠀
It's time for another bathroom roundup! Today we're bringing you some of the gorgeous master bathrooms we've shot recently - which ones are your favs?!
Did you watch the space launch?! 🚀 We didn’t. Big fail as I have a kid that is currently very into space. I did put his spacey themed room together today!
The painting took me one evening. Maybe 1 hour total actual work, but time for the paint to dry between coats. No cost because the paint was leftover from the work out nook (which made me feel so resourceful, until I ran out and need a smidge more coverage in a few spots. Which I’m ignoring for a heartbeat, but I’ll get a quart soon). Minimal time, no money. I’ve wanted to do this for a while, what was stopping me? #stoppinningstartdoing

The most common complaint I hear from our clients, especially those that like to entertain, is that guests all crowd around in one place. Open floor plans give guests many options for spreading out but still part of the magic that’s going on in the kitchen. *
I realize though, it’s not for everyone. How do you feel about an open floor plan? Yeh? Or Neh?

“People will forget what you said,
People will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.” Thank you so much to all my amazing customers that make me feel so good when you shop at my store and let me know all the things you love ❤️. I hope you are inspired to create a beautiful home and more importantly, to be a beautiful heart.
Andddd the fireplace surround is no more!
Piece by piece we broke it down. It took a while to uncover all the hidden screws that held it to the wall, but once that was done it came away quite easily.
The hardest part by far was getting the huge chunks of concrete from the living room, down the stairs, and to (especially into) the skip! Each piece weighed a tonne!
Now it’s gone we need to remove the inner padding before we can put the new surround into the original, larger hole.
We had the gas mechanism disconnected and capped off before doing any of this work #safetyfirst .
