Lylabeans has left and my heart hurts BUT I know this is the best thing for her! She’s getting her forever human after almost losing her life in the shelter. I am incredibly proud of the pup she’s become while being a part of our pack! She had to learn how to dog which seemed so hard at first. Lylabeans was an outdoor dog and didn’t get much love from her previous owner so there was a lot she needed to learn. She will meet her new mama on Saturday and I’m so freaking anxious to hear all about it! Her new mama said she might do road trips to Houston some day so you know I’m excitamated for that!
This “see you later” has been really rough on me! I knew it would be hard but dammit, I fell hard for this girl. Thankfully, my boys Sawyer and Finn have noticed their mamas sadness and have been close by to fill me with kisses 😍 While this has been hard on us, we WILL continue to foster because saving lives is soooo important to us. Our hearts will heal while we heal a new pup, right? 8 pups were sent off this morning to their forever home and that’s just freaking awesome!!
Thank you so much to @wagagainrescuetx for helping us save this beauty! Thank you to the transport team that takes care of the pups on their way to their forever home! Thank you so much to everyone of you who shared, liked, commented and most of all, donated so that our WAR family could keep saving pups! And major shout out to Lylabean’s new mama, thank you for adopting and saving a life! 💙

Karli, the real MVP, is my sister’s aid dog. She can smell changes in my sister’s brain pressure and chemistry and alert us. This is a full-time job for her; she is even allowed in the hospital (she is hypoallergenic and won’t interact with other patients). • She looks like a CGI plush toy for sure, though.
