Photographers love taking pictures of waterfalls, especially when they make rainbows and the light is good. It was amazing how quickly one person with a tripod setup would attract every other photographer. Within minutes we had a line of 8-10 people with tripods capturing similar shots. @mooflyfoof ended up trying to get close for a different shot, but that meant venturing into the spray of the waterfall. I zoomed in for a spot of her without getting more wet myself and accidentally captured another photographer using an air blower to clean the water off his glasses! 😆 this spot was a lesson in remembering to constantly wipe off your lens before you took a shot

“Dissolution of Eternity" | The Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon under fiery light, in it's endless cadence of moving pieces of ice, teaches us lessons of impermanence and dissolution. This place is quite simply the most beautiful work of moving art I've ever seen in my short life.⁠

Story: After two trips to Iceland and much waiting, finally had the chance to witness an epic sunset at Jokulsarlon, with enough time to choose from the endless possible angles and compositions. Due to the fast moving pieces of ice, doing a long exposure would be impossible. Since the ice pieces were a few meters away from the shore and I wanted to get the classic immersive look of ultra wide angle lenses, had to enter into the almost frozen water to get this image. From time to time, chunks of melted ice would meet my legs with great subtlety, making me fell like a part of the whole moving scenario. Unforgettable.⁠

Die Vorfreude auf die anstehende Abenteuerreise mit @pfadefinden war riesig.
Falls es deine erste mehrtägige Wander-Camping-Reise ist, dann ist die Pack-Phase sicher noch spannender. Die Ausrüstung ist zwar das A und O auf der Tour, dennoch brauchst du dich nicht verrückt machen. Worauf du aber auf jeden fall achten solltest:
Dein Rucksack darf NICHT schwerer als 8 kg sein, da noch mind. 1,5 kg Equipment und 1,5 kg Verpflegung und 2 l Wasser dazu kommen! Mehr als 13 kg auf dem Rücken ist für uns Frauen nicht mehr angenehm. Minimalistisch packen ist schwer aber notwendig. Mach dir Gedanken, was du wirklich brauchst. Lege den Fokus auf das Wichtigste.
Ich war wirklich froh von @pfadefinden eine Packliste bekommen zu haben.

The P.E.A.C.E / diese R.U.H.E. ist Island 🇮🇸 ——————————————————————————— Wenn sich meine Gedanken um Island und um meine Erlebnisse drehen, fällt mir sofort das Wort „Ruhe“ ein. Dieses unbeschreiblich tolle Land und die wunderschöne Natur strahlt so unendlich viel Ruhe und Geborgenheit aus. Auf dem Laugavegur Trail konnte ich stundenlang erfahren wie es ist, wenn man einfach mal die Ruhe genießt und die Natur auf sich wirklich lässt. G.E.D.U.L.D 👀 📍Emstrur 🇮🇸 ———————————————————————————— Oh Ja, dieses kleine Wort namens GEDULD habe ich auf meiner Island 🇮🇸 Reise über mich selbst erfahren können. Ich bin sonst eher ein etwas hektischer und schneller Mensch und mag es so gar nicht zu warten. In diesem Fall war ich in Island in einer Gruppe unterwegs und wurde mit dem Thema Zelt 🏕 aufbauen/abbauen konfrontiert, wo ich meistens am schnellsten fertig geworden war. Am Anfang: ja es war etwas nervig, in der Kälte warten und sich ärgern? Hm! Ich habe nach und nach probiert diesen „Vorteil“ auszunutzen und die gewonnene Zeit genutzt um entspannt die Morgensonne aufs Gesicht fallen zu lassen und die wunderschöne Aussicht zu genießen. 😊☀️ So ist auch dieses schöne Bild entstanden, ohne dass ich es bemerkt hatte. Für mich war das also eine ganz neue Erfahrung, mich mit diesem Thema auseinander zu setzen. Ja, es ist nicht immer einfach sich seinen Bedürfnissen sofort zu Widersetzen. "Synchronicity" | Kirkjufell, Iceland | When all elements combine on a single landscape, photons start creating music, and visual dreams suddenly become real! After sleeping inside the rental car in Keflavik (the plane arrived at 1am), on my first Iceland trip in 2014, I decided to head to Kirkjufell the next day. I had seen this mountain so many times in online galleries, and yet it still kept me fascinated every single time with its singular shape, adorned by beautiful waterfalls. As soon as I arrived I could feel my heart racing with the excitement, and I rushed to the spot and photographed it from many angles until it was absolutely dark. .
Even though this spot is getting more and more crowded every year, in 2014 it was still possible to have plenty of space for different compositions. Despite the recent crowds, I still return there every year, as this is yet another spot which seems to have been designed by a talented God specialized in landscape beauty! 😊
