The Daintree Rainforest is one of Australia’s most accessible and exceptionally beautiful natural phenomena. Gaps in the rainforest canopy give way to that magnificent Queensland coastline, and it is here that two of our most famous natural environments converge: the Great Barrier Reef meets the Wet Tropics of northern Australia.
Staying for a few nights in the glamping eco-huts @noahcreek_capetribulation gave me access to the spectacularly untouched Noah Creek Rainforest Reserve at Cape Tribulation. This experience combined pure luxury with the unique opportunity to awake with the sounds of the rainforest, discover hidden waterfalls and refresh with dips in croc-free creeks ✨🌿
Have you ever slept in the jungle?
This fella only jumped once this morning (off Long Reef) but when your belly is this pretty you don’t need to be extra.

Over the last few weeks I’ve traded the gallery and my RM Williams boots for my snow shoes and the high country. After what has been a challenging year on many fronts, between fires, hail storms and COVID-19 I’ve spent far less time outdoors than I would like. So, it’s been very welcome to restore a little balance and spend time doing what I enjoy, while also conscious that many others are locked down and not able to do the same. It makes me appreciate every day and what opportunities and liberties we have. It’s also been a great chance to put new @thenorthface_aunz@mont and @lasportivaaustralia gear through its paces, including on the @climbingthesevensummits Australian alpine academy. I’m excited by recent snow falls and looking forward to getting back and photographing the backcountry with more with my @nikonaustralia Z7 in the coming weeks. I hope you are getting outdoors where you are able.
Redbank is out at the far end of the Western MacDonnell ranges. It’s a fair walk down a sandy river bed until the river bed runs out, and the river takes over that runs through the gorge. I was drawn to the intense colours and the way the light in the centre seemed to radiate. Just like the heat! It’s a telephoto shot to crop, the gorge is actually quite wide. And just soooo wonderful to swim in after a long walk.
My images look so much better on your BIG screen, and even better still on your wall - prints available from forty-nine - website link in Bio
Happy Hump Day everyone! The whales were certainly in the mood to play this morning, with two juveniles coming in close to Bubbles to show us their jumpy, splashy moves off Long Reef. Smooth sailing conditions were an added bonus 👍😀
It's impossible not to fall in love with the crystal blue waters and beautiful white sands at Moonee Beach.

Sometimes you just need to let loose on your own!
No one telling you what to do or how to drive, no sharing, it really is the best time.
We say time and time again if you have the chance to single ride it is so much fun! So much so Ash won't ride with Andrew... that might also have something to do with he's a little inconsiderate 🤣🤣
