Here is a photo from one of the darker days in Irish history, it occurred on this day (Dec 11) in 1920.
The Burning of Cork by British forces took place on the night of 11–12 December 1920, during the Irish War of Independence. It followed an Irish Republican Army (IRA) ambush of a British Auxiliary patrol in the city, which wounded twelve Auxiliaries, one fatally. In retaliation, the Auxiliaries, Black and Tans and British soldiers looted and burnt numerous buildings in the city centre. Many civilians reported being beaten, shot at, and robbed by British forces. Firefighters testified that British forces hindered their attempts to tackle the blazes through intimidation, cutting their hoses and shooting at them.
More than 40 business premises, 300 residential properties, the City Hall and Carnegie Library were destroyed by the fire. Over £3 million worth of damage (equivalent to €172 million today) was wrought, 2,000 were left jobless and many more became homeless. Two unarmed IRA volunteers were shot dead in the north of the city.
Sometimes it is so that we meet someone and we immediately know that we will broadcast with him on the same waves. It's the same when we see a place in the picture and we already know, that we can fall in love with this place. I had it, the first time I saw Beacon in the picture, it amazed me😍 And one spontaneous decision, made me love this place in real life, like all Ireland, or at least the piece I saw. Ireland has been my dream for years, I always wanted to go there, see, now I know that I could live there and be, a very happy person on the Green Island. Maybe there is a family that will adopt me?😀😀😀
Don't you feel that these spontaneous decisions are sometimes the best?😉

I don’t play the drums so can you stop beating them??? Whoever you are out there. You are wasting your time. Thank you. I have no WiFi in my house and I have never paid for a WIFI installation so I’m totally confused why anyone thinks that. There is no money going out of my account to pay for a WiFi installation either. I was told by two technicians it was impossible to install WiFi in my apartment because of the direction it’s facing. Broadband is an issue in Connemara in general. All the apartments on my side of the building have trouble accessing WiFi and the only apartments that have it are those who know people in apartments on the other side of the building who have satellites facing in the right direction and are connected to theirs. Sky rang me and told me it was totally impossible to install WiFi in my apartment when I asked them so whoever you are talking to is a scathing liar. In a way I considered it a blessing as I thought no one can hack me now or use me as a zombie. Do I ever get tired of lies? Yup! Lavender, Garden, Home, Tipperary, 2018. One day you will stop. 21 years ago today, John Hume (pictured) and David Trimble won the noble peace prize.
In the Easter of 1998, Northern Ireland's largest political parties signed a peace agreement which became known as the Good Friday agreement. In the autumn of 1998, the Nobel Committee decided to award the Peace Prize to two persons who were at the heart of the peace process in the civil-war-torn province.
One of the two was the Catholic leader of the moderate Social Democratic and Labour Party, John Hume, regarded by many as the principal architect behind the peace agreement. After having joined the Northern Irish civil rights movement in the late 1960s, he became convinced that nationalism was a declining force in the new Europe. In his view, Northern Ireland needed extended self-government with powers reasonably divided between the population groups: better relations would have to be established between Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland and between London and Dublin. Hume devoted a great deal of energy to drawing the IRA and the British Government, into the negotiations.

In Killarney a few weeks back for sunrise with the lads. I headed into the woodland to try shoot something different. I got a few tips from the master beside me, @seanorphoto and this is what I came away with with.
