Her day turned rainy at 5:20pm and the street lights lit up earlier than expected. Raindrops sunk into the ocean like fallen stars dissipating on a gently shaken reflection of the gone blue sky.
Was it a memory? No, it was epiphany.
It was not forgotten, but it was just better to believe and not remember, because tomorrow's 5:20pm would be sunlight turning the ocean into a long, long, maybe endless milky way.
She believed, and might just stop checking the time.
There are some things you'll notice when you're away. I couldn't say with any confidence that I liked the city. But from a distance, I can see the wonderfulness of the city I was born in. I can say this with confidence now. I love this city.
