*Removing Fear* .
Travelling to the unknown by yourself can be very intimidating and raise your fear level - if you let it. There are so many things to take into factor but can be addressed just by knowing.
You are comfortable in your home airport but what about the airport where you have a connecting flight? So many questions go through your mind? Will I make my connecting flight on time? If I don't, what happens next? What about the airport at my final destination? Will I know where to go to pick up my luggage and where do I meet my shuttle to go to my hotel? The internet can give you the wrong information! From my experience, Instagram and Facebook groups - you can ask those questions from people who have been there! Just ASK! That is why we have social media - to share our experiences to help others!
I can still remember my first time I took my flight to Honolulu. I laugh about it now. I was so paranoid and a bag of nerves. I was nervous about going through security and customs (not sure why?), I am not doing anything illegal. I researched each airport and downloaded a map so I would know where I was going. It still didn't help my not so good 'sense of direction" because I was induced with fear.
What about flying over the ocean for at least 5 hours from the mainland by myself? I felt it was one of the safest flights I have ever been on. A little turbulence at times but the captain always did his best, to avoid it. These flights have been full of positive energy because everyone is excited to be going to Hawaii!
Don't let fear get the best of you! Instead, put the excitement in you that you are going out of your comfort zone and all the positive attributes by travelling solo, with a feeling of independence.
Who knew a little island in paradise, called Oahu, was the best thing that ever happened to me to help change my direction in life!
First time flying domestic while in Japan and first time flying with ANA! 🛫
🔜 Now that I'm finally done reminiscing my trip to Japan (Tokyo & Hokkaido edition), can you guess where I'll be off to next? 😀
(‼️ Hint: This trip is a US domestic one!)
