I really admired the detail that was put into the gates at Regents Park. Here, I took a close-up photograph of the construction so that I could share it with you here. Do you see the detail that went into it? The little marks add such wonderful texture and contrast beautifully with the smooth iron of the rails. --> Swipe for the farway shot. #travelwithanarchitect#gazingatgateways
Liberty Bank – Queen-Ward Branch (now American Savings Bank) 929 Queen Street), Honolulu, HI | Merrill, Roehrig, Onodera & Kinder | 1962
The building is an example of architecture embodying the distinctive characteristics of design first proposed for the Hawaii State Capitol Building and emulated in contemporary public and business buildings in Honolulu. Designed by Honolulu architect Kennth W. Roehrig in November 1961 for Liberty Bank, it’s appearance closely resembles the Hawaii State Capitol Building (photos of that building to follow!), whose initial design was released by architects John Carl Warneke and Belt, Lemmon & Lo in February 1961.
