This time last year (& this time next year) 🇮🇪 Last summer, we were in Ireland celebrating one of my best friend’s weddings & had the BEST time ever (but actually). That same best friend is also having a little Irish baby in a couple weeks & there’s nothing I’d love more than to be there to meet the little guy, but looking at mems of last year it gets me SO excited to introduce these two little BFFs next summer (& for them to one day cheers over a Guinness...waaaay down the road). Where do you plan to be this time next summer? #ireland#cliffsofmoher
The majestic Belfast Castle situated on the slopes of Cave Hill. First built by the Normans in the 12th century, the site has undergone many transformations down through the years, resulting in the Scottish Baronial style building you see today. Stunning, isn't it?
When was the last time you just stopped to take it all in along our cliff walks?
Now that we are free to travel again, people are beginning to enjoy the spectacular beauty Ballybunion has to offer. A walk along our cliffs here in town has been a highlight for young and old for generations. From watching the dolphins leaping below, to seeing the gulls swoop far and wide out over the ocean, before diving in search of a meal.
"When anxious, uneasy and bad thoughts come, I go to the sea, and the sea drowns them out with its great wide sounds, cleanses me with its noise, and imposes a rhythm upon everything in me that is bewildered and confused.".
— Rainer Maria Rilke.
I had a conversation earlier that reminded me of this beautiful quote. It’s my go to and a constant viewpoint I have long held.
Throwing it back a few weeks to a lovely summer evening on the cliff walk. I’m sure I looked entirely normal holding a tripod up in the air like Mufasa holding Simba while trying to get the angle for this. 😅.
