i once had a friend who told me i posted too much while on vacation. it hurt me to a point where i still think about it – because it’s something i love doing. i’d be told because i use hashtags and edit my pictures that i’m trying to be “instafamous” or whatever that even means. i’m not nearly pretty or photogenic enough for me to even try to be instagram’s next sensation, i truly just enjoy spending time making my feed pretty looking. remember the whole scrapbooking phase? well instagram is sort of like my modern scrapbook. i want* to spend time on my captions, my “theme”, my pictures, the flow of them all. i want to connect with other people who think my content is interesting, because i do the same with users i like following. instagram is designed for that sort of thing, and i don’t find anything wrong with being passionate about this kind of creative outlet more than another. i keep my feed mostly hiking/traveling/skiing focussed because those are my adventures, the ones i want to look back on one day. they’re also the things that keep me going in life. on this note, closing this 🇮🇹 chapter of my feed with a colourful (edited, geotagged, + hashtags) picture of a gelato bar, because well, aside from the mountains, the gelato was the highlight. 🌟hope i didn’t bother anyone too much with my multiple posts!
