⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫ One of my favorite mornings of this trip came when I decided to grab my bike at 4am and drive towards this rice terraces in Bohol.
I didn't know what to expect but I knew that I would take it with ease. The terraces were something unreal and took thousands of photos but flying the drone here was the real pleasure. A local girl told me that there was a waterfall nearby and imagine my surprise when I was at the bottom of this tall waterfall just a few hundred meters from the terraces.
It's surprises like this that inspire me to continue exploring without fear of might be the final result of destination.
Now this is a beauty!

This image is from my most recent trip to Death Valley. Let me tell you how much more pleasant this place is in November as opposed to June. I attempted these Dunes in June a year ago and it was 128 degrees that day! Now, my hike was closer to sunset so it was a little cooler at 125. And I swear the wind was over 200. I don't think I've ever felt so vulnerable in all my life. November temps of 90 seemed like a cakewalk. This scene was a very reactive scene, i had scouted for about two hours for a composition that was looking very promising with the cloud formations starting to happen. I was set up and waiting for magic when i realized it wasn't going to happen. All that beautiful light just disappeared. My spot was no longer. Up to the north I could see the clouds loading up with cotton candy colors but i had no spot. I didn't expect this to be the direction of interest. Luckily I had hiked so far out into the dunes that nobody else had been wondering about and the sand to the north was untouched. I found this little swirl of textures with a the light kissing the sides of the dunes. the sky color lasted a few moments longer but the dune light went flat a few seconds after I captured this. Sometimes we scout for hours looking for something unique and its more often than not the quick find and shoot images that become our most favorite! .
Ride a Scooter is one of the best way to enjoy Bali, particularly in places with narrow streets such as Kuta or Seminyak. If you are a small group, without toddlers, and you want to discover the area without having to take a driver, renting scooters is a good idea. .
But beware! Bali’s roads sometimes can be a bit chaotic, and if you don’t take precautions, you may have bandage marks rather than tan lines when you return from your holiday.
Always Wear a Helmet When Riding a Bike in Bali (and Pay Attention to the Road).

Four years ago on this day I captured this craziness. The night before I had just received my very first professional camera and wanted to test it out. I’d also just recently moved to Ventura so wanted to check out the surf scene. Figured I’d go shoot some surfers. When I saw these waves smashing the pier all I thought was, “I’m never surfing here.”
