Palm Beach, or 'Palmy' as it's called by locals, lies at the end of a long peninsula, fringed by surf on one side and tranquil Pittwater on the other. Its golden sands and clear waters have inspired Sydney’s wealthy to build holiday houses on its leafy hills. But down on the ground, things still feel pretty modest when there's sand between your toes.
arrenjoey Head looms over the northern end of Palm Beach and is home to the historic Barrenjoey Lighthouse and lightkeeper’s cottages. Take the easy 800-metre (0.5-mile) access trail to the top for panoramic views over Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park, Broken Bay and the Central Coast.
Oftentimes, the most magnificent views in Thailand reflect people’s devotion for something deeper and truer than the eye could see. Perched high and precipitously here is the one-of-a-kind Wat Chalerm Phrakiat about an hour (60 km) north of Lampang. Imagine how a mind could achieve such a feat!

The best part about making friends online is that y’all are EVERYWHERE around the world. I knew when I had a layover in Nairobi, Kenya that I would make it a point to visit my girl @IjeomaKola - My Jersey friend that recently relocated there!
She set me up real good with places to eat, sites to see and tips on how to shop at the markets. 😉
Let’s just say I took full advantage of my “less than 24 hour layover” in Nairobi.
Have you ever fully taken advantage of a layover? If so, where did you go and what did you do?
