The Libra hoarder in me enjoys being surrounded by interesting things. 😽✨Cluttered desks don’t bother me, because I feel surrounded by creativity 🤦🏽♀️ Yesterday, I challenged myself to shop with intention and zero in on the fabrics I needed 😳 It was tough for me, but I LOVE what I walked away with and can’t wait to share with my clients. 💌 What’s your shopping style?! 🛍✨
We thought it was about time we introduced ourselves, starting with our founder Emma.
With over a decades worth of interior design experience, Emma decided to take the plunge and break away from her senior design position in order to start ESD Home. Scary but excited times!
Emma’s current interior obsessions include: layered lighting schemes, warm metals and she’s mad about velvet bolster cushions!

Let's do something unique that your friends and family won't forget. One of my favorite features in this project is the elevated tatami room (used to be a bedroom). This elevated tatami features multiple hidden storages beneath and a remote-controlled Mahjong table that can be lifted up at your desired height. Although we didn't use actual tatami mats, we used it as a concept and translated it into the design: proportional, comfortable, and intimate. #3Drender#design (credits to TGR Inc.)

Incredible kitchen inspiration from @duluxuk 😍
It’s got us dreaming of working on a bold kitchen redesign...
Starting to pull together a sample board for a new build, open plan home.
New builds, as lovely as they are, can often feel a bit stark. To add character to this project we are proposing a lot of lovely textures that will work together to really warm up the space.

Choosing an artwork scheme for your home can be daunting. The key is to follow your intuition, pick out pieces you love and then work out what links them together, is it the tones? The subject matter? The era? As soon as you’ve worked this out you will be able to fill your blank walls with art.
In a city like Surat, which is constantly growing and the elite divided between the idea of villas in a gated community, or apartments in well maintained-amenities filled complexes. A joint family of three generation opted for the latter, choosing interdependent living over independent.
The site, an Eleventh floored penthouse, overlooking the dynamic urban spine and an ever-expanding city in its background whilst stealing views of the river Tapi between adjoining apartments poses a challenge and an opportunity at the same time.
The potential of the duplex apartment is tapped into for ample natural light and cross ventilation, by keeping the spaces free-flowing and transparent only to be divided by varying scales. A connection to the ground is established by introducing various small and large green pockets into the house.
The interiors, a combination of natural materials; wood, cement and exposed brick are an attempt to be bare, to create a breathing quality of the materials. The indoor environment is soothing with colourful furniture adding vibrancy to the house, reflecting the playful nature of clients; even while being planned in a rigid nine-grid format giving it the name Tic-Tac-Toe. Time for some last minute Christmas home preparations because it wouldn’t be Christmas without a big bouquet of eucalyptus and a plethora of scented candles. Good luck if you are hosting this year.
