We had another great day yesterday. We enjoyed seeing the progress of returning dogs and handlers. It was also lovely to meet new faces and paws.
Thank you to all for braving the terrible weather.

Burkhardt starting to understand the platform. It’s definitely helped with the Rottie playbow barking!

For all of you that don’t already know, this is Smith! He’s my 6 year old long-haired Chihuahua, aka: my trash stealing land nugget/grease lighting. He’s the absolute love of my life. I don’t post him a lot on this page but I thought I’d bless your feed today💛. I posted this photo for a reason tho, we have had an extremely high snowfall this winter and so this little guy rides on my back for majority of our adventures. That being said, almost 90% of my snowshoe hikes when I have crossed paths with other snowshoers I always hear something along the lines, “wow treat that dog like a toy much? Let it walk” or “what’s the point of having that rat dog, it can’t even walk itself”. I’m not sure if people are truly too ignorant to realize a dog with 3 inch legs cannot handle a hike through 3-5 ft snow or if ppl just love to hate on small breeds lol. Anyways thanks for joining my TED talk 😂 there unfortunately are no complementary donuts BUT here’s an adorable photo of this muffin face waiting patiently while I fiddle around with my camera.
Here’s a shot of Ky waving near the top of the Hi Ling peak trail 😇 What’s everyone else up to this weekend?

Tracking Tip: Ending your track with 20-30 paces fully baited and not ending on an article. I use a ball, bait pile, or dog fancy feast. :) Dusting the rust off from not tracking all winter. It’s like riding a bike, he still knew how to track. :)
I've been training dogs for the past 3 years but, today marks my 3 month anniversary of me getting hired as a professional dog trainer. I love my job and I couldn't be happier with the environment and people. Constantly learning new skills and finally being supported as a trainer, has helped me grow in so many ways. I've gotten to work with 25+ different dogs (I've been keeping track 😅) with wide ranges of temperaments and drives. Learning how to alter my handling/training style to each individual dog I train, has been a very fun and rewarding challenge. I can't wait to continue growing under the trainers I admire, and help transform even more dogs.

Gary Kicking Ass 💪 Long Bite Tip: Showing dogs pressure first on a leash/harness to teach them to overcome any assortment of threats yelling from the helper will building confidence before sending them and introducing it away from the handler the first time.
Today has been the Mondayest Tuesday ever 😴 I woke up with a head cold that I thought I had dodged last week 😷 here’s a couple photos from our long weekend adventures (I dunno why I got none of Sitka)!
Me: -Tries taking pretty pictures of Fate looking super regal-
Fate: -Makes the UGLIEST face at the camera-
Okay dude... 😂🤦🏻♀️ Tomorrow is club day and I can't wait to see how he does, considering the major improvements we saw last week. Can't wait for the typical club shenanigans and to see our favorite training pals.

Hope everyone has a lovely weekend!!! Can’t wait for some adventure tomrw with these two savages! It’s 7 degrees and sunshine today, I’m SO happy 😁
This lil’ man is developing nicely, but he’s very “male” at the moment and the hormones are flowing. I’m challenging him quite a bit in training now and finding a balance between what he can handle and what he finds difficult. Yesterday’s training was tough with agility training going on next door but he catches on quickly and makes the right decisions. He was mentally drained afterwards and will have a couple of well-deserved days of rest. He’s my heart boy and I wouldn’t trade him for the world. 💛
off camping w/ this big goof! Anyone else camping for the long weekend?

Happy Friday the 13th! It's going to be a full moon as well tonight 🦇 The past few days have been crazy for us (in a good way) what has everyone else been up to lately? Fate is all drive and excitement right now, the logic will come with time.. hopefully 😅
