First of all, I swear I’m not choking Daisy in this picture despite what it looks like 😂.⠀
Mike and I both had to work last night, so our girls stayed with their grandparents for the night. When I went to bed I realized it was the first time I was alone in my house in MONTHS. So naturally I blasted the music at 2am and sang and danced simply because I could 😂. ⠀
This morning the two of us we went for a walk with Daisy, like old times. That’s another rarity these days, and it always brings me back to when our family was just the three of us. We lived in North Carolina. Mike and I were both ICU nurses and worked 3 12 hour shifts a week and then had off for 4 days! Like OFF off. No kids, very few responsibilities. I often wonder what we did on those days off... I really don’t remember 😂. It seems like a lifetime ago, probably because it was a whole different life. ⠀
While I wouldn’t change our life right now for anything, today it was really cool to just be with these 2 beings that I chose as my family. The OG 3. Now it’s back to reality with all of its noise and chaos. This small kid-free window was glorious while it lasted, but I’m ready to give my girls a squeeze! 💗. ⠀
Now that restrictions are lifting a bit, who has ventured to see family and perhaps drop the kids off for a few hours? Man, isn’t that first time alone like a small piece of heaven?? 🙌🏻🙌🏻
At 11 weeks old, this little dude is so cool! Was potty-trained at 8 weeks, already sits on command, learning stay AND high-fives, comes when you whistle, and, most-importantly, is NOT a yappy little barker! And he's so close to sleeping through the night already! He's making isolation a little less boring!
Nature watch! 🦢🦆🐣 Went to see how the little goslings are getting on today. There's so many of them and they're growing fast! Hoo-ma is very impressed at how calm and not interested in herding them I am 😊
