Dinner under the stars with Venus.
In the Far Western corner of Rajasthan, sits Jaisalmer. Rich in history with neighbouring Pakistan and the state of Gujarat to the south it is at the edge of the Thar desert and overseen by the spectacular Jaisalmer Fort built in 1155 by Rawal Jaisal. We’re here for the next 4 days expiring the narrow streets and local villages. .

Patwon ki Haveli is a complex of 5 separate havelis owned by 5 separate brothers, and was the first haveli to be constructed in Jaisalmer. This remarkable piece of architecture was commissioned by Guman Chand Patwa in 1806,a very rich trader who wanted to build 5 havelis for his 5 sons.It took over 50 years to complete, and so Guman Chand Patwa's wish was not actually realised with in his lifetime.Havelis like this are a good representation of the affluent living standards of the merchants ofJaisalmer.
#BadaBagh , also called #Barabagh (literally Big Garden) is a garden complex about 6 km north of #Jaisalmer on the way to #Ramgarh , in the state of #Rajasthan in India. Overlooking a mango grove sits a set of royal cenotaphs, or chhatris,of Maharajas of Jaisalmer state, starting with Jait Singh III (d. 1528), built by the son of the Rawal jait singh III, maharawal Lunkaran singh. Later, with time 104, members of royal family graves and their chattries were built. He(maharawal lunkaran singh) also completed the construction of jait bandh, a dam project that was started by his father Rawal jait singh III, this dam stand useful till date for conservation of water.

▪️Rajasthani shepards are arguably one of the most photogenic subjects in Portrait Photography.
You hear plenty of things while shooting portraits on the street. People ask me which newspaper I work for. Some ask, "kis channel pe aayega", some people get startled while some simply look intensely in the camera (which is the best). The funniest thing I've heard lately is that, "bhaiya tiktok bana rahe ho kya?". .
These camels are free to roam in the desert after they have completed their work for the day. The next morning they come back on time. They have a bell attached to their necks and we could listen it ring in the night as well. The bell is useful for the people who own these camels so they know where exactly they are!
P.S- Today is the last day for my Jaisalmer posts. I will be spamming you guys with my Manali pictures from tomorrow before I start with Nepal series, stay tuned! :)
