Be there or be square!
The 2019 Interfaith Seminary Symposium on Ecological Behavior in Jerusalem will be held at the University of Notre Dame at Tantur in Jerusalem on October 28th!
On the agenda for the day will be discussions on key ecological challenges, panels and breakout sessions on the emerging field of faith-based environmental education, and for networking amongst faculty and partnering organizations.
Education is the future; and in a future in danger from climate change, NGOs must take part in the conversation around sustainable development. We are so thankful for the opportunity to take part, and hope to see you there!
Support for the event is provided by the Julia Burke Foundation. The Symposium will be organized by The Interfaith Center for Sustainable Development and their partners include the Notre Dame Jerusalem Global Gateway, the Salesian Pontifical University Jerusalem campus, Swedish Theological Institute in Jerusalem, and (you guessed it) A New Dawn in the Negev!
Umm Salamah (ra) relates that the Prophet (saw) said, “If anyone puts on Ihram for Hajj or Umrah from Masjid Al-Aqsa and then proceeds to the Sacred Masjid (Ka’bah), their past and future sins will be forgiven, or they will be entered into Paradise”. (Abu Dawud)
