I had a beautiful talk recently with someone I have a lot of time for. It was clear that he just needed someone to almost give him permission to be himself!
It's so absurd that we inhibit SO much fear, we are so fearful of what other people might think or worry how we may be portraying ourselves to the point where, some of us, are keeping our true selves, our true talents and our shining light a complete secret... I started pouring advice and hitting this message home, enabling him to see that, YOU SHOULDN'T EVER DIM YOURSELF DOWN JUST SO'S NOT TO UPSET, INTIMIDATE OR OUT SHINE THE PEOPLE AROUND YOU!
It's definitely difficult for sensitive personalities, both thinking and feeling people, to allow themselves to be all that they are, because they can sense when they're making others feel uncomfortable. We all need to learn, that sensing another become quiet or tense doesn't always necessarily mean they are sitting and judging us and it's definitely not a good reason to discontinue expressing yourself and showing off your talents... More often than not, they are evaluating themselves, or feeling badly about themselves... You don't need to rein it in to meet their 'comfortable'😳 You need to do you, unapologetically!!! The ones who matter are waving you on and if you don't have any cheerleaders, it's time to get new friends! .

I love looking at old pictures from before I got pregnant to remind myself how I looked before and to remind me of what is possible to get back to once I give birth. This was 2 years postpartum from my second child. I had already lost 65 pounds and was losing more of my belly fat at the time. In two years I was able to lose weight, become healthier and gain so much confidence. I helped myself feel like a completely new person in my own skin and I freaking loved it!🙌🏼🙌🏼

I’ve joked (kinda serious tho) about my mom being disappointed of me working out instead of cleaning. And tbh, all last year I spent rearranging and cleaning. And let me tell you, I was never done 😩 there was always laundry to do, meals to prep and a dish to wash.
So here is a glimpse of my workout at my imperfect home. Please excuse the laundry basket. I washed but instead of putting the clothes away I worked out-and it was perfect 🦋

Truth be told I’ve come along way in my #weightlossjourney and I’m very proud of my results. I always like to look back to see where I started because it makes me want to go harder, it makes me want to keep going. I can’t wait until April after I have babygirl because I know my snapback is going to real this second time around!🔥🔥

I will be glad to tell you! I lost the 65 pounds by finding a simple nutrition program that worked for me which happened to be Herbalife. I changed my unhealthy eating habits to much healthier ones. Not once did I have to deprive my body of the foods I liked, I just ate them In moderation and made sure I had balance. I didn’t go on a diet, I just added in 2 Herbalife shakes a day, 2 teas a day, and made sure I was also eating healthier foods. As far as staying motivated...I wasn’t always motivated throughout my journey but I did know that I had two kids I wanted to be healthier for and I did know that I never wanted to feel how I did before losing the weight so it kept me going. Good Morning ⛄️ I haven’t seen four lanes in town so snow packed that you can’t see a yellow or white marked line for lane changes in years. It is Absolutely Stunning out there. Definitely be cautious of others and very patient. Slow down if you must. It is ok.
I won’t make it to the gym today but I am going to push myself to get a GREAT Home workout in. 🙌🙌💪 I took a moment at the bottom of our hill to just take in the Beauty of my surroundings and the challenge of getting up all my hills. Not just this stunning snow filled road.

How many times have we heard that we can’t pour from an empty cup? Yet as Mama’s we still do!! Each day we push our needs and wants to the side and pour into our family’s cups.
Now don’t get me wrong. Being someone’s Mama is the most amazing job in the world and there are so many rewarding moments!
But lately as I ponder this empty cup thing I think that as a mama of four I have not been enjoying or even sometimes looking for those rewarding moments. Why?? Because my cup is empty!!! This is not something that Mamas talk about or want to admit. We see the IG and FB Mamas rocking life and don’t want anyone to see our behind the scenes tape.
But I have decided that something needs to change in 2020! I want to enjoy the task God has given me! The task I dreamt about! The task that for awhile now seems like a endless chore!
2020 is going to be the year I invest in ME.
Even as I type these words they feel selfish. I am doubting in the back of my brain that I will be able to pull it off. But this is not about thinking only of myself or not doing what I need to do on a daily basis to be a good wife and mama. It’s about so much more than that and I hope you will follow my journey (and even start one of your own) and see where 2020 leads!
Today a Group of women are taking off on a 60 Day journey together. I am beyond excited to start this program with them today! I love to see in our private check in groups how even though we all may not know each other we can all be a CHEERLEADER for each other. We encourage each other and lift each other up. In this crazy World we NEED that, all of us do! I am so excited to see everyones progress through this next 60 days.

Ohhhh Turkey, you were so magical✨ I never thought any country could kick Iceland out of the #1 spot for me, but you have done it. I spent time in Istanbul, Alaçati & Cappadocia and I loved every minute. The people 🧔🏽, the food 🥘 the scenery⛰ - everything was INCREDIBLE. There is so much more that I would love to see and hope to return one day🇹🇷

I love how simple it can be to reduce the use of plastic in our house.
