What a beauty this Female Belted Kingfisher is...though males are usually the more colorful ones in the bird realm that is not the case with the Belted Kingfisher...the female wears the bright rust color while the male lacks it.
You know how many times I've been told that men don't hit on me because I'm intimidating?
My response is always something like "but I literally have crumbs on my face right now" "but I laugh like a donkey is seeing her basic bitch donkey friend on the other side of the room" "but I seriously am the most awkward person you will ever talk to and will make inappropriate jokes about your mom after we just met".
All those things are true, but it's also true that I am smart and ambitious and I've been doing most things on my own since I was 18 years old. I can see right through fake people and I don't play games. I feel deeply and will do pretty much anything for the people I care about. I don't like small talk, and in fact it kind of pisses me off...but I'll do it when I know it's necessary to survive in the situation.
So yes, I'm intimidating, but only to those that can't handle it. For those that can, you're welcome for the sweet sweet dance moves.

Oh heyyy!! Don't mind me, just getting these furry paws filled with sand! My owner caught me eating sand earlier 🙈🙊🤪 life's good!
Your freedom is more than just for you.
Your healing is more than just for you.
Your breakthrough is more than just for you.
Your victory’s are more than just for you.
Yes, it’s true all these things are for you. But they are not only for you. It’s also for the people around you, the people who will walk into your life, the people you will minister too. You are a living testimony to the ones around you.The things you learn, the fights you win, your steps of obedience, the prayers you’ve prayed, the challenges you overcome are for the generations to come.

I was going to do a story on what actually goes into taking a photo with these two in tow, buuuut it all kinda got a bit too hard basket. I don’t like giving the impression that we make these outings look easy. Sometimes they are, and a lot of times they 100% are not. Something always happens. A poorly timed 💩, refusal to get changed, the wrong colour of socks chosen, the ricecake has a piece missing out of it.........
You know, world ending kinda stuff.
But I tell you what, regardless of all that it is ALWAYS worth it. I know that by just getting out there, rain hail or shine, that they’ll remember the awesome times they spent out exploring their world. I’m sure there were times my parents had an absolute shit of a time dragging two little kids through outback Australia. My brain remembers the all the best bits, the magical bits, the little details.
So we’re a little late to the party, but we finally went out and picked our Christmas tree 🎄
And this is me being told off for taking “too much photos mummy” 😆
I want to run along dusk-soaked outcrops and prance in bonfire dust. I want to wear vintage knits from scotland and talk of dreams, wishes, our ancestors thoughts and how we wiggle our way into them. I want to remember spiraling up buttes and pointing to frosted mountain tops. sifting through playground mulch, feeling the dew on our backs, blades of grass and saltwater swells.
My multitudes creep in like the dawn of days in moments along the water. Boots suspended in clouds of white, wrestling with the reality of not having yet touched down. Knobby pine trees spin around the cabin at dusk and it's all so strange - to be in one place and then another and never get that moment back.
These are the good days - too young to care, too old to know better, where we feel unbound. Wisdom sits in spaces where coffee is poured atop rocks and the world slips away. Like its away but close - within reach. There to teach us something, through joy-soaked laughter and smile lines. All it takes is a jet to a dock, a gentle caress of canoe ripples, a lil' humming to blaze foley and I'm back here. Thinking of the times I never had the time to take.

My little princess (as much as I hate licensed stuff 😂 it was worth it to see her face when she saw herself in the mirror😍) and if you know 2 year olds, you can imagine the princess behavior I copped when I told her she had to wash her face that night and no she couldn’t wear the dress to daycare. #eviechristine#elsa#frozen#princessbehavior#partycostume#bethsbraiding

Joshua Tree is one of the places I was looking forward to most. We finally got there a few weeks ago and were welcomed by a major dust storm! The wind was blowing so hard that the sand was pelting us in the face. We had to stay in our car the entire time and couldn’t really see anything. SO much sand in my eyes lol but it was awesome. Heading there again at the end of the month and hopefully we can actually explore this time. Desert life is gnarly!

A morning I can’t put into words. We woke up at an early hour, and watched the sky light up with hues of orange and red. @cassieworden braved the weather and went out for a swim while the sun came up. Would you swim in the rain?🌿

EN | 2019 is almost coming to an end and this is the time of reviewing the year (or not). Music is something very important in our creative process, so in order to discover new artists, what was your song of 2019 ? The one you listened over and over ? For me it was "Stonecutters" by Dope Lemon 🌸 What about you ?
There’s so much power in stillness ❄️ In a world that is so busy it’s more important than ever to pause and appreciate the quiet moments. Breathe it all in, let gratitude flow through you, and then absorb that feeling into your memory forever ✨
