One thing I love about shooting in the city is the hidden places you can find just by keeping your eyes open and looking where people usually wouldn't think to look.
While I was walking to our planned location, I happened to see this building on the side of the road that matched our model's white dress perfectly for the monochromatic look 📸

🎁GIFTS FROM GERMANY🎁
You might be familiar with a delicious liter bottle of Weissburgunder we carry here at the store. Because of it, our wine-team has a bit of an obsession with the @weingut_brand brothers. So, we asked our awesome friends at @rivegauchewineco if there was anything else ATL could get. 😱Merry Christmas!

You can call, text, or send a DM for more details. My prices are very reasonable for the quality work that I provide. I don't take any shortcuts to cut cost because your safety, your family's safety, and my reputation means a lot to me and I've re-mounted more than a handful of TVs that have fallen off of the wall due to negligence and cheap supplies. If you do not have time to call please feel free to send a text message.
I am grateful when people like my photography, but this is an important one, and one I am genuinely hoping you will put a like and comment on, and/or repost. I truly want to “hear” about your experiences in the comments. I was back in the ATL recently. So glad to see this message still loud and proud at the #KrogStreetTunnel in the #KrogStreetMarket . I know there is not one of you who is reading this right now who doesn’t know someone who is a victim of this insidiousness. The artist here speaks for everyone I believe, and I like to think of the sun flare as a symbol of hope and promise that you CAN fight and successfully so. My mom had nothing but her awesome docs and her killer will, and it got her 20 years she would not have otherwise had. You CAN win. Chances are increasing that each of us may have to face cancer head on in our life times, which means we are all in it together. Don’t forget HOPE. I’m so proud of my brother @cody_hawkeye for being on the front lines of this battle, and advocating so swiftly for women. He and his @athensbreastclinic team are making a difference, and he’s a brilliant surgeon. Head over to his new page and give them a follow, it’s the least his team deserves in light of the time and love they dedicate to caring for women with breast cancer. Our mom ultimately couldn’t out run her cancer, but she was so proud of her first born. I know she would not be surprised now that he is helping women battle this disease. I HATE cancer, it has taken SO many people we love, and continues to threaten our family even now, even in our young ones. I like Cody’s hashtag #itspersonal ...damn right it is, for ALL of us. I HATE cancer, but I love strong women, and I LOVE this art work, and the artist who created it. FIGHT IT. BEAT IT. Prayers to all currently in the battle. Real ones, always! Love, light and peace to you all.

Gluten free or celiac? We have plenty of options for you at Recess! 🙌 "If build-your-own-bowl establishments present too many possible options for comfort, Recess in Krog Street Market takes the guesswork out of the equation with its vegetable-centric bowls, salads and sandwiches. Almost everything on the menu is gluten free or can be made gluten free. Order the Pancho and Lefty, a vegan and gluten-free bowl that features a spicy mushroom chorizo, some crunchy vegetables, and a chipotle crema. Or try the Maize Runner, which uses the same crema as the dressing for a salad packed with roasted tomato salsa, beans, a mix of vegetables, cotija, and corn nuts. There’s also toasts and sandwiches on gluten-free bread." - @eateratlanta. #recess_atl#eatdrinkCHG#krogstreetmarket

Heavy Is The Head That Wears The Crown
I’m grateful that so many of my people refer to themselves as kings and queens now. I think that is a powerful shift from the way we’ve viewed ourselves for so many years.
Many of us can trace our roots to wealthy and powerful nations in the African diaspora. And yes, for some, that means you literally came from royalty.
However, with the title, also comes great responsibility. Kings & Queens have an obligation to their kingdom. They are essentially responsible for the people they serve.
This translates directly to the way we live today. In leadership roles, that means we put our necks on the line for the decisions we make. As entrepreneurs, we take on the risks associated with growing our businesses.
And most importantly, as Kings & Queens, we must remember that we are always being watched and judged by those around us.
As you heard me mention before, LxVE Fest was a celebration of excellence. S/o to all the kings and queens who continue to sport their crown with pride and dignity.
Who’s ready to rise up to the occasion in 2020? Hit me with a 👑👑👑
Once we import the cacao, we roast it, stone grind it (for 3 days straight!), and pour it into single origin dark chocolate bars. We do all of the production in our "micro-factory" in @krogstreetmarket. On Monday, December 9th, you can try some of our chocolate in amazing dishes produced by @8armatl Executive Chef Maricela Vega and Hopkins & Co. Executive Pastry Chef Jen Yee. That's all a part of a plated, five-course chocolate themed dinner in celebration of our Fifth Anniversary. From my shoot with the lovely @kass_ess! 📸 I've been really excited about releasing these photos. Kass is a natural on camera and a joy to work with 🙌🏾 .
I haven't posted on this page in a while, but I'm back thanks to my bros @createdbykeenan and @corymarcusphotos letting me tag along and work on something just for the love of the craft and stacking the portfolio with original ideas 🔥 we out here.
While cacao doesn't grow in Georgia, we put a lot of time and energy into sourcing our ingredients responsibly. We travel to countries of origin, like Peru, Nicaragua, and Costa Rica, and meet directly with farmers to not only purchase the best cacao, but to make sure we negotiate a fair price directly with the farmers, instead of purchasing through middlemen or brokers. .
That's Elaine up above, giving an assist on the cacao harvest. You can see more of us working in Peru on the big screen in the Atlanta premiere of "Setting the Bar: A Craft Chocolate Origin Story" (@settingthebarfilm) on Sunday, December 8th. All ticket sales go to @georgiaorganics, tickets available in the link in our bio⬆️
👋Hi, we're Elaine and Matt, co-founders of Atlanta's own craft chocolate company, @xocolatlchocolate.
About seven years ago we decided to quit our jobs and move our two young kids down to Costa Rica for the better part of a year. While there, we met chocolate makers who were growing their own cacao and we fell in love with the process.
When we moved back we brought a bag of cacao with us and started making chocolate at home. This month we're celebrating the 5th anniversary of @xocolatlchocolate with @georgiaorganics and @cicsatlanta.
Stay tuned for more posts and in the meantime click the link in our bio for more event details + how to join @cicsatlanta ⬆️
