So many companies simply write down values and check them off of a list. They don’t use them for what they are intended – to create consistency, to be a guide for all actions, a filter for words, and mostly, creating a unified culture that is a growth catalyst!
Values, when followed, grow the individuals, the company, and the communities the companies serve. "Core values are the deeply ingrained principles that guide all of a company's actions; they serve as its cultural cornerstones," says @patricklencioni_ CEO of @thetablegroup . "They are the source of a company's distinctiveness and must be maintained at all costs."
Values, core values, should resonate with the company, the people, the community, the online community, clients, prospective clients, partners and any partners. Values tell your story, create a filter for tough decisions, act as the guiding light in times of trouble, and realign moments that are tough. Aligning your brand with your company's mission and values isn't just a nice idea; it's a brand strategy with tangible business benefits. "Having a brand that is consistent with your company's public values can garner consumer loyalty and make people feel good about the purchases they are making with your company," says George Ball in his article "The Importance Of Sticking To Your Company Values."
1. Find your values.
2. Build them out. (Small sentences etc.)
4. SHOW the world WHAT they mean.
5. Put them EVERYWHERE – online, inside each office.
6. Use them to encourage. To reward. To hold accountable.
7. Don’t simply write some values down and check them off a list.
8. Do what the greats do – @sony , Johnson & Johnson , @amazon .
9. Review them quarterly.
10. Put them into a guide you can hand out to everyone and be proud of.
11. Execute on them and WATCH your business grow!
You have heard it before... think outside the box. Yet, I have a hard truth to tell you ....👉🏽most people don't.
Because most people don't want the backlash, cuts, and misunderstanding that comes with being a disruptor.
Thinking outside the box is key in valuing creativity and innovation.
To solve a problem, look at the market in ways that established organizations AND your PEERS can’t or won’t. These folks may have more resources, but they tend to be stuck in their ways or are copying others. Typically, they can’t react as quickly as consumer needs, interests, and demands change. Hello, #2020 !
So click the save button to remind yourself - I must value my creativity and innovation mindset.

May the sun shine in your heart today.
Cloudy or blue skies the light is always accessible.
If you're feeling it, I'd love to know what's shining within you today.
🔥 IT’S OK TO BE MAD…BUT NOT TO STAY THAT WAY 🔥
I love you because you bring the ❤️ + 🔥 to your business, to your relationships, and to your life.
You do this from a place of purpose & passion.
Which means you’ve got what it takes to push back.
Many are hurting because of impact & decisions made around COVID-19.
But what’s worse? Many feel stuck.
Feel a lack of control.
You weren’t born to sit back…you were born to lead.
Right now, for you to lead may mean for you to push back.
I’ve had more conversations with those who feel they’ve been wronged than I have in my entire business career.
Agree or disagree with me, no worries!
But I ask that if you’re feeling beaten down…
To use this post as the ignition to the flame inside of you and push back.
Let me hear from my leaders with a “I’m pushing back!”

We all need people who give us FEEDBACK . That's how we IMPROVE.
همه ما به کسی نیاز که به ما "بازخورد" بدهد. این راهی است که ما با آن "رشد" می کنیم.
If you’re looking for an accessible way to access feminism then Florence Given’s book ‘Women Don’t Owe You Pretty’ is a pretty good place to start. Chapter titles include:
• You are the love of your own life
• Refuse to find comfort in other women’s flaws
• Maybe it’s a girl crush, maybe you’re queer
• Life’s short, dump them
• Check your privilege
This is our read for the AS WE ARE Virtual Book Club this month. If you love reading and chatting about feminism and careers with great humans, why not join us?
The next meeting is on August 22nd at 7pm. This book is super easy to read so you’ll be finished in time! If you'd like to join, drop a 🙋🏻♀️ below and I'll send you the info!

Golf balls can be found here in Scotland in many places: gardens, bushes and on the beach when the ebb is pulling back the curtain on things that were hidden in the water - uncovering the secrets of the shore.
I like the game when it is that: a game. Playful, flowing, lighthearted. Away from chasing desires and a tightened jaw of concentration. Our Ego in a soft mood, humbly working in harmony with Nature.
If you've seen the film The Legend of Bagger Vance, you'll be able to even better imagine the atmosphere in mind.
Directed by Robert Redford (book S. Pressfield) with talented actors, the film shows us mastering golf as a metaphor of our spiritual Journey, Personal Growth, finding Balance... our relationship with ourself, each other and Life.
After watching it I always feel so elevated: wanting to play a great game of golf - of a Lifetime.
Weaving all these themes together: Flow, golf, how empowering habits help us succeed, how we can elevate our quality of Life to a level where we are joyful and resilient and how we authentically represent all this as a Leader.
These are my own Life's themes, the context of my work & the content I'm sharing with you.
I'm sharing essentially the Journey with you: as a fellow human being exchanging experiences and via coaching & mentoring, because I see every day how much we can achieve.
We can overcome grief, doubts, emotional ups/downs, we can learn to powerfully shift our perspective to evolve and remain resourceful in the face of adversity, mastering Life-changing decisions and Courage, finding and maintaining Gratitude and Joy in the everydays. This all is a part of my experience.
Through my experiences and the things I've learned, I see now how many opportunities there are through which we can improve our Life to a level that today may seem a dream. It starts there: with a wish to turn into a vision, a goal, a plan and see it unfold in our reality as we create it. Through awareness, choices, a balanced mindset.
I feel how much fulfillment we can have and I'd like to see and support everyone succeed in their endeavor.
Just like the game, we can master Life along the way, enjoying every bit of the process.

Peek-a-boo! Blink twice if you can see me. Guess what? My business just turned 5 and this is the year I’m completely coming-out from behind all the bushes I’ve been hiding behind. There’s a reason I’m not smiling in this picture like a nice good girl. It's because in year 5, I am bringing the fierce intensity of a woman unapologetically standing in her power who knows her sh&t like the back of her hand.
Overall, I’m definitely not a rule follower or status quo maintainer. BUT, there is an area where I fly under the radar & hide out AND it’s here on Instagram. While my work has gained visibility through various media platforms, Dr. Partridge lurks around Instagram sometimes posting Dr. Partridge content, then going back into the bush of Adrienne land. Most of us do this in some way or another— being visible in some places & then staying small in certain other places. What bush are you hiding behind?
What can you expect? More Dr. Partridge and a little less Adrienne. Don't worry we still sassy and Up To No Good, just a bit more nerdy on the Dr. side of things. I realized that I have a lot of knowledge to share from my experience working with around 150 high-performing leaders over the last 5 years and it’s time I share more of that here. Because when we don't share our greatest gifts we are ultimately doing a disservice to others & the world around us.
What's coming? More in general around leadership & career development. Juicy stuff around the link between stepping into your full leadership & career purpose by upping the relationship you have with your body & your sexuality/sensuality. Anti-racism content. More group coaching programs & course offerings. Basically all of this + more of my very strong, yet well-informed opinions. Putting this all out there— mostly to keep myself from hiding behind any residual bushes. Because in the end, the most important person we are accountable to is ourselves.
Oh, and we’re also going to DJ school to fulfill a secret dream to be a DJ. That’s also verrreee important to note because music & embodiment are going to be become a part of my offerings.

I believe it is safe to say we are all pretty tired of this COVID quarantine and social distancing which has been required of us for about four months now. Ask yourself this: how might you feel if you were convicted of a murder that you did NOT commit and then at the ripe old age of 16 years old, sentenced to life in prison? The ultimate quarantine with no end in sight. Ever!
Today’s Red Shoes Living Podcast guest, @deanmckee71 Dean McKee, experienced just this. Wrongfully convicted of murder he didn’t commit and then spent 30 years in prison, and two and a half of those years in solitary confinement. After the @innocenceproject of Florida finally got involved, Dean walked out of prison, a free and exonerated man, on January 9, 2018.
If you are like me, I can’t even describe how angry and victimized I would feel. To add insult to injury, Mr. McKee was never compensated for this injustice. When we talk with Dean, we were shocked at his outlook. Positive, resilient, full of gratitude and forgiveness are the words best used to describe this remarkable man.
We asked him how he felt about the COVID quarantine and his answer puts everything in perspective. “We’re free! What more do you have to complain about? People talk about lockdown… no, no, no, this is no lockdown. This is freedom!” Dean’s belief is “if you’re not challenged, and don’t meet resistance in life, how do you really figure out what you are made of?”
This is a powerful and very special podcast with host @lonniemayne and @deanmckee71 It’s a must listen and will leave you full of gratitude for your life and possibly reaching a little higher to be your best self.

Big yikes 😬 What would you have said?? Send this to a friend and see if they’d do better.
I’ve followed @thefbinegotiator for some time, and Chris Voss is hands down a Top 3 influence on who I am in life and certainly who I am “in the room.” This is meant to be a difficult lesson, and I’m willing to bet even if the guy said exactly what Chris himself would have, he still would’ve kept it going.
Chris’s work is a great resource for life in general, but ESPECIALLY if you’re about to be at the negotiating table. There’s always the chance you negotiate for something different or better and the offer remains, but at least you’ll know you TRULY have the best offer in front of you. Personally, I prefer to be shut down 10 times 10 different ways, at times to the point it’s awkward even for me, instead of losing sleep at night wondering if I left money on the table because I was too afraid to ask or ask again.
There are many ways to ask, and I plan to cover many of them with you. Thanks for the read!
To create and experience real meaningful changes in your life, there are simply some things you need to let go of in order for it to happen
Here’s a few things to let go of :
👋🏾 The Super Hero Syndrome- Trying to do all, and be all for everyone ...all the time will deplete you with the quickness
👋🏾 Worrying what people will think - Allowing what others think to dictate how you move will leave you stuck.
👋🏾 How you used to think - your old way of thinking won’t help you get to the new way of life you desire
👋🏾 Not advocating for your needs - Here you are being the best advocate of all advocates for someone else but when it comes to you, you are quiet 🤐
👋🏾 Afraid of not being liked - Just know people are carrying around their own baggage and life experiences, so until they work through that, they can only see you through their smudged lens on life( but that’s a post for another day)

Learn to embody conviction and clarity in your leadership. Stop second guessing your decisions. Develop a strategic plan for managing up. Position yourself for advancement. Expand your influence and amplify your impact.
When emotions are running high, ask yourself - when’s the last time you slowed down and had some “me time?” 💙
What’s your self care like?
Comment down below one thing that you’ve implemented into your self care routine that is your absolute game changer 🙌🏼
When we connect back to our purpose and our truth - it feels comfortable.
It feels safe, it feels like home and somewhere in there we think that everything should feel this way.
👉🏼We forget we are here on earth, still living this regular life that doesn’t feel safe or feel like home.
We meet this same contrast when we build a business. What tends to happen, is that we only do it when it feels good and it comes easily. But this work doesn’t always feel good.
👉🏼Taking steps to living your purpose doesn’t feel the same as *knowing* you have a purpose.
[Read that one again to digest if needed]
It can be hella uncomfortable.
Bringing the light, the love, the hard truths and big conversations will create resistance. You are shining light on dark areas.
This is where you get uncomfortable. You have to be willing to do the stuff you don’t want to do in order to follow through on that commitment you made to help people. You have to get in there.
Get amongst it all.
Get messy with it.
Let the light lead you into the places that haven’t been lit up. Which all along - you are the light. YOU have to take responsibility and lead yourself into those places. That is what you are here to do, right?
🔥There’s a lot of fire and intensity in our world right now - a lot of dark areas being lit up.
So let this fire fuel you rather than burn you. The world is ready for you. People are listening. People need help and a way through. And you’re the one who can help.🤍✨
A year ago today, I sat down in front of my computer and wondered what on earth to do next. I had an idea and a logo and not much else.
This year has been one of the most intense, challenging and fun years that I’ve had. I’ve met so many incredible people along the way.
Thank you to each and every one of you for being a support to me and AS WE ARE. Whether you’ve trusted me as a client, attended an event or liked & commented - you’re a part of this and I appreciate you 💜
Here’s to the next year(s) of smashing the patriarchy!
