As I sat up awake in bed, at half 4 this morning enjoying a stunning sunrise, I realised that life is too short to not do the things you want to do! Go and live your life! Go on the holiday you dream of, go look at property in the place you would most like to live, go do a course you've always thought about doing... Don't let yourself get stuck somewhere you're not happy, be it a place or a job or a relationship. Make the change happen and see where it takes you! It may not go as well as you would have hoped but you might find you'll never regret having jumped into that decision! 🥰
Hi everyone! With this pandemic showing no signs of slowing it’s kept me pretty busy being a scientist. I’ve been journaling to keep my sanity and once in a while a little sketch finds its way in there with my thoughts. I sketched this tree today while waiting to pick up @riiichiiiel from her work. As a nurse practitioner she’s also been kept pretty busy by this pandemic. Stay safe out there everyone and please be kind to each other during these trying times. #learn#create#inspire#hindsightis2020#theinkbender#artofkristolentino

As you all know, educating our kids on issues like racism is extremely important. As a teacher, I feel not discussing it with the children makes the issue of racism a ‘taboo’ - indirectly insinuating it is unreal and irrelevant to our everyday lives and experiences. On top of that, it also denies those who may have experienced racism to speak up - something which I know is never want my children to do!
Previously, I created a poster that could be created with children as a way to raise awareness and understanding on an issue such as racism. Here are a few completed posters from my bubble! Having the discussion of racism, discrimination, equality, injustice and equity with children was completely eye-opening. All of my children couldn’t understand why people would judge someone based on their skin, race, religion etc. They just saw everyone as ‘human’ and everyone as deserving as each other. ❤️ The situation of the child not wanting to be a police officer...now that melted my heart! 💔😫
What made this discussion even more interesting was how much the children knew. It just goes to show how much we should not underestimate our kids! They know more than we think!
Not only were the discussions important, but the final product...I’m so proud of! As a task, this is extremely tedious and hard-going for some children as it requires patience and TIME! With a bit of encouragement, they’ll get through it! 😊
We have fought, screamed, cried, gone to therapy, questioned our engagement, and questioned ourselves.
We have gotten comfortable having uncomfortable conversations. We have faced the deep and dark sides of each other. We are learning how to overcome past conditioning, heal past trauma, break unhealthy family cycles, love, and forgive ourselves more.
We have forgiven, grown wiser, became gentler, loved harder, and learned more about each other and ourselves. We are evolving to truer versions of who we are.
Choosing to love each other is not always straightforward and clear. It is a journey of self-discovery with ups and downs, with brightness and darkness. We are working on healing ourselves so we can love each other better. I am so proud of us.
Some of my favorite accounts that have helped me learn:
When I was 21 I used to work in Starbucks (on 5th Ave ) as a barista. At that time I worked 3 jobs 7 days a week for one year straight so I can make enough money to open coffee shop one day... In Starbucks I had the opening shift ( 5:30am ) soon enough I learned that same costumers are coming everyday at certain time, and each of them had their own unique way of enjoying their coffee. I was able too learn their names and their order so by the time they walked in the door and waited in line to pay, their beverage was ready and served with a smile ( many times before they even had the chance to pay ). Soon they all knew my name and were so happy each time they notice that I'm making their coffee. Exactly one year later with my saved money I opened my own coffee shop in Eastern Europe... Big part of my clients who were supporting me as a barista 12 years ago are still my clients today, and are supporting me in my Realestate bussiness. Some of them are great friends and some became my mentors. Realestate transactions are very simmilar to making a perfect coffee. Every house is diferent and every buyer and seller are diferent to, but they all want their transaction and experience to be smooth like thier morning coffee made perfectly by their favorite barista. Like one of my mentors said to me " Blaze I did not hire you for your experience, market knowledge or custom marketing strategy. I hire you because I knew that you will over work any one and deliver great results with a smile" ! I never lost my habit to wake up at 5am so I can always be ready for my clients when they call ! Nothing comes over night, keep pushing and keep grinding - Never give up !

Dragonflies were some of the first winged insects to evolve, some 300 million years ago. Modern dragonflies have wingspans of only two to five inches, but fossil dragonflies have been found with wingspans of up to two feet!
In their larval stage, which can last up to two years, dragonflies are aquatic and eat just about anything — tadpoles, mosquitoes, fish, other insect larvae and even each other!
Dragonflies catch their insect prey by grabbing them with their feet. They are so efficient in their hunting that, in one Harvard University study, the dragonflies caught 90 to 95 percent of the prey released into their enclosure!
Some adult dragonflies live for only a few weeks while others live up to a year.
Dragonflies, which eat insects as adults, are a great control on the mosquito population. A single dragonfly can eat hundreds of mosquitoes per day.
