Last year I was so burnt out, trying to make everything just right. So much that my lab work went haywire. So what had to change was me. How I communicated how i felt and also what steps I took to help me.

I’m writing this at 11:50...the kids and I have already gone to the farmers market, walked to the playground, had lunch, and now we are getting ready for naps and quiet time. .
A few people commented on me taking all the kids to the farmers market by myself. “Wow you are daring”, “isn’t that overwhelming”? And maybe the answer is yes to both, I don’t really know. We all need to do what we are comfortable with doing. For me, that’s getting the kids out of the house! To each her own 💪

1) Keeping myself accountable for one new recipe a week. We are trying @epicurious Weeknight Tandoori Chicken. My husband loves Indian food. I’ll report back!
2) Sam gave me the go ahead to bring back Taco Tuesday (yeeeessss). Such an easy dinner plan!

I just couldn’t part with this bud vase (formerly Chanel perfume bottle). The perfume, which we bought in Paris, was a birthday present from my husband.
Sweet memories....and look how nice it looks on my vanity. .
Turkey meatballs and roasted tomatoes with red potatoes. Straight out of the @whole30 Fast&Easy cookbook. I added roasted potatoes to my meal and it was perfect. I made 9 meatballs so that I would have dinner last night and 2 other meals. I also cooked two giant chicken breasts in the instant pot, fed my girls, and cubed the rest to put into a container for the fridge. This morning I cooked a sheet pan of cauliflower this morning and ate some with eggs and have leftovers for another two sides. I also hard boiled eggs and found these compliant hot dogs at Aldi!! I picked them up, sure I would find a sneaky ingredient and was shocked to find them clean! I love a good hot dog with mustard so this will make easy meals this week too. I don’t have meal prep completely figured out, but I’m off to a much better start than last week. And now I can spend time this afternoon/evening helping my girls prep@their school clothes and lunches for the week. That will make our nights/evenings run much smoother. We are figuring it all out over here... 💜

Today I realized how CRUCIAL having faith is for living a relaxing life⠀⠀
“How do you know that things will work out the way you want to Anna? What if ..?” Well because I have faith in it (+ work towards my stuff). I’m not religious but I believe in how the universe works 🔮. I don’t need any proof to validate my believe in certain things and I always believe that everything will turn out well. Of course there can be some setbacks but even then .. in the end everything’s going to be alright 🙌🏻⠀⠀
Having faith has really made a huge difference in the way I see myself, my decisions, other people and life in general. I’m less stressed about the future and the pressure society wants to put on people so they’ll end up doing things which don’t even set their souls on fire 🔥🚫🙍🏻♀️. To me all that negativity really doesn’t matter anymore⠀⠀
You’ll figure everything out. Not all at once but one piece after another. Everything’ll get clearer and make more sense with the time. There’s no other way. Take care ❤️⠀⠀

Forgot to open my eyes since my previous post hiihihiihi 😌😋⠀⠀
But seriously. I know that may sound kinda arrogant to some people but not everything deserves our attention and energy. That has nothing to do with thinking that we’re better than someone else (some people actually interpret it this way when I try to explain myself why I don’t give a f 😯😂). It’s just an act of valuing ourselves and our time/life. Just imagine us giving our full attention to EVERYTHING and EVERYONE: 1. Our time on this earth and our daily energy are limited so we don’t wanna waste it on nonsense (especially not on negativity and things we can’t control❗️) 2. we’ll forget ourselves when we’re always trying to please everyone and 3. we can’t please everyone anyway so let’s focus on the most valuable things right away 🤷🏻♀️. Also when it comes to a discussion with people it’s better sometimes to leave them in their own bubble without arguing and explaining ourselves. Especially when we come across people which are so close-minded and convinced of themselves we can’t even reach out to them bc we’re talking to a goddamn wall. Of course it’s very important to tolerate any kind of different things/opinions and no matter how triggered we are because of something .. we should ALWAYS try to learn from everything/everyone.. but that’s not the point here. The point is that it’s important to know when we’re wasting our precious time which we could’ve invested in other things instead of arguing with people which don’t want to expand their horizons and see things from a different point of view anyway. Let’s be more aware of what actually matters and makes us happy and walk away in peace when the time has come ☀️⠀⠀
