How much do you spend each year due to a holiday listed on the calendar? 🗓
I can honestly say that I have disconnected myself from the spending that comes with each holiday. Sure, I still buy my mom a gift for Mother's day and buy my kids a few things for Christmas, but I know the RETAIL brain washing that goes on during these times and I stay far from it. 🙅🏻♀️
You've all seen the countless commercials on TV and have received a ton of those "Sale" emails (or text) on the days leading up to these holidays right?
That’s how they get you ! 🤣
Just bringing a little awareness to yet another area where we spend money without getting a return.

Hi, yo, wasss up?? I’ve been working on many things in my life lately (I always am! #Progress ) But let me tell you I feel like I’m on a whole other level over here!! Self development, discovery and self love are the key in my book to really getting what you want out of life. When you’re in tune with yourself and are more self aware, I feel that things often seem to go more my way. Instead of using resistency, I embrace, understand and move forward .
The things that are meant for you will be yours. Accept, appreciate and keep going with the flow!
Life is beautiful and we are all beautiful humans 💗
Side note: This pic was taken last night on my way out the door to hit the gym. It was late and I didn’t “feel” like going so late but I’ve been keeping my goals and not allowing my excuses to overcome me. #Noexcuses#Getit

It’s like Christmas every time this box arrives 📦🤩!
DoTERRA’s Loyalty Rewards Program is super generous. You can customize your own Wellness Box, that arrives at your door monthly. And as part of that, you can qualify for free products and also earn up to 30% back in product points. .
What’s in my Wellness Box monthly? ... Supplements for my whole family, Skincare, haircare, oils that support our bodies on a cellular level, oils that support our hearts and our brain health, oils that provide immune support... you name it, there’s probably an oil for that 😂.... really, all the the things I use to buy at Target or some other random place. Now I get them from doTERRA - and I know it’s the highest quality. .
And we save money by purchasing through doTERRA every month, because of the rewards ⭐️. .
Throughout my 20s, every effort I put in never had a good enough result for me and my entire self worth came from external validation (which is fleeting at best). As a result I had a VERY shaky sense of self.
Some people validated me, sure, (hi social media!) but why wasn’t it widespread? Viral? Constant? Why didn’t I *feel* validated?
Because I did not have the ability to validate myself. I could NEVER tell myself “hey, you did it. You tried and you had to deal with a bunch of other random life factors and here you are, a little better than before. I am proud of you.” Saying this felt like I was admitting to failure.
My sister @davydarnton.movement (check out her pre/post natal body movement philosophy!!) Does not tell her children “good job!” The phrase “good job” is subjective, not a helpful way to measure achievement or success, it doesn’t even clearly state what the job actually is. Instead we say “You did it!” To which the young ones exuberantly repeat “yeah! I did it!”
The difference? Just doing it leaves room for mistakes, for bumps, for coming back to the task with new information, for experimentation, with knowledge that the exploration is faaaaar from over, for growth. It’s @nike’s slogan for a reason.
Instead of measuring the job you did today, how about you say a nonjudgmental “I DID IT!” instead? And feel how good it is to have just done it, to put in the effort, to have learned from the process, secure in knowing that your consistent effort is getting you there.
With 2.5 months left this year, it’s time to shift our self talk, validate ourselves first and build ourselves up from the inside out. 🌵
Speaking of, a forearm stand in dirt with a hoop on top of a windy mountain? Did it. .

Being outspoken on equality, no matter how softly I speak or how politely, people call me angry, they call me bitter, they call me crazy, they call me militant, they call me “uppity.” But you know what they never call me? A doormat, a sellout, a pushover, a fool.
Funny how THAT works.
TW: trauma. I was going to post an old picture of a time I was feeling better, but this picture caught my eye in my camera roll!
This was around the same time of year, maybe two years ago. I also had a cold/flu at that time. Sometimes when we notice patterns of illness at certain times of year we might want to dig a little deeper into the issues.
Is it just the change of seasons and temperature variations from day to night, or is it also that I suffered huge trauma around this time of year as a teen?? Could the memory of that trauma both conscious and subconscious weaken my spirit and my immune system?
It’s very possible. Sometimes we think we’ve healed some trauma and we really haven’t. My trauma is one that tends to stay with people and pop up at inconvenient times. Especially if I’m going through big changes in that same timeframe. Like this expansion.
I’ll be living with people I don’t know as a renter for a room while I’m traveling for work. It’s not a big deal for me consciously, but perhaps it reminds me of a time I was more vulnerable and how I was hurt and attacked at that time.
So now facing the alone time in an unfamiliar space is also contributing to how I’m feeling. Sick, closed in, confined...and maybe, just maybe...acknowledging those things will help me heal faster and get back on my feet.
It’s time to remind myself of who I am. Gather my strength. Remind myself that I’ve SURVIVED everything that has come my way and I will survive anything else that comes my way! I got this!
”Me, I want what’s coming to me”...
”Oh, well what’s coming to you, Tony?”
“The world, chico...and everything in it”.
Even with all my recent ‘trials and tribulations’ I can’t help but feel blessed. Always make the effort to exude positive energy...and positive energy will make it’s way back to you.
Even during hard times, what makes you feel blessed? #HollaAtMe in the comments. #LetsTalk
