This past summer, I inexplicably started having trouble breathing. 15 minutes into a workout, I’d be doubled over, heaving. At night, I would wheeze so loud I would wake myself up. After wrestling with my 6 year old I’d have to lay down. I’ve always been terrible at self-diagnosis; if anything seems wrong, I always figure it will fix itself with time. But when I had to sit down to breathe one day while helping a friend move furniture, it was pretty apparent something wasn’t working right.
And so it was determined that I have asthma. Now I suck on a Steroid inhaler twice a day to keep my bronchioles open.
Most days hiking in the mountains, I’m fine; other days, I absolutely feel it. In the grand scope of things, it is completely manageable compared to what many other people have to deal with and I’m grateful it’s nothing worse. But since reading a few articles about other people with asthma dealing with COVID, it has certainly given me pause. That, plus a immunocompromised kiddo at home, and it’s no surprise that I am giving everyone a very wide berth.
That being said, I still intend to get outside. I’m aiming to keep it to places I know best where I can control the risk. But being outside reminds me that there will be a time and day beyond all of this. Cause that’s what will get us through. And because there’s nothing sweeter to my lungs than fresh air.

Sometimes you will never know the value of a moment until it becomes a memory. . That's what life is all about, no? A collection of moments....those little memories that last a lifetime🖤 #flashbackfriday to last year's 3rd trip into the Beautiful Utah's desert🌵canyons & off road trails. .
I was set to go back at the end of the month...but trip has been canceled. The trails will be there-more beautiful than before, thats for sure!! I hope everyone is doing ok, taking care of yourselves and that your memories take you back to great adventures!!🖤
Where do you think I took this shot?
I’ll continue sharing my favorite places in Utah. As many know I’ve been all over the county on the Harley but Utah is still #1 in my book.
Where’s your favorite spot on Utah?
Tag a friend....
No climbing gym? No problem.
Countertop climbs with some comic relief at the end during these times.
Inspired by @soleilloftsisyourhome challenge, “How are you entertaining yourself in your apartment during this time?” and @eatiqbar recent post - not quite up to par with @brookeclimbs though.
Plus, a friendly reminder to eat your fruits & veg during these times. And don’t worry, all countertops were thoroughly cleaned before & after.
Stay Safe & Healthy Everyone.
What’s the first thing you want to do when things settle down? Assuming the world doesn’t look too different (feels naive to say that...), I think I’ll escape back to this exact spot. Happy memory featuring Tim loving on the distant Henry Mountains.

There are worries all around us. Forgetting how to socialize ... might be one of yours like it’s one of mine.
However, just as my shirt says we are warriors and we will not quit.
I am proud of each and every one of you.
Don’t forget to check out the blog. I just added a post on HEALTHY PRACTICES AND WHILE STAYING AT HOME.

Learning how slot canyons were formed absolutely blew my mind. Unlike a canyon like the Grand Canyon formed over time, slot canyons were formed by powerful flash floods that cut through stone and leave dazzling designs.
|Routine| #wfm brings on a life of its own. Maintaining a routine will help with motivation, goal achievement and all around sense of accomplishment. Here are several pointers that work for me. 1) Wake and keep the morning rituals going. 2) Get dressed. Just because others may not see us, we see ourselves everytime we pass a mirror (and you know you cute...so act like it). 3) Make your bed and keep things organized. Chaos and clutter never serve you. 4) Eat healthy and on schedule. Cheetos at your computer does not constitute lunch. 5) End work at a designated time. Otherwise, there is no distinction between work and home. What works for you? Tag someone that needs this and share your best practices.
Here's our April promotions!
Free Product of the month is Clementine which cannot be purchased indiviually. The dominant constituent in Clementine is Limonene. Google that! It is good for our immune system!! Melissa is 10% off - This is a powerhouse for our immune system - it's in the OnGuard + capsules and is also incredible for allergies and can help with insomnia. I know this one is pricey, but is maybe more affordable with this sale. Or - just use your points! I recommend making a roller with this precious oil because it will last you longer that way.

In the middle of the night
I go walking in my sleep
Through the jungle of doubt
To a river so deep
I know I'm searching for something
Something so undefined
That it can only be seen
By the eyes of the blind
In the middle of the night 🌘
7. Arches National Park is home to the Delicate Arch, which you might recognize from Utah license plates. It is also home to so many more breathtaking arches and natural structures, a few of which I had the privilege of photographing back in 2012 and 2013.
We needed to get out of the house today to run out some energy or this golden retriever wasn't going to live to dinner time. We headed over to Tanner Park for some off leash fun with @exquisite_tia (6ft apart of course). Thankfully it wasn't muddy at all, despite the recent rain! We also got to meet @luna.moona.goldendoodle, who is SO CUTE.
Even though @saltlakehealth has not mandated the closure of dog parks, some municipalities have chosen to close theirs anyway. I've been told that West Jordan, South Salt Lake Lions, Millrace, and Sandy dog parks have all closed for now.
6 feet - means 6 feet of distance from another. We can still say hi, we can still smile, we can wave, and we ask how someone is going. Let’s set the awkwardness aside & continue to be kind no matter the physical distance - we’re in this together. ♥️

Fun Fact! In peak summer Lake Powell water temperatures can reach 75-80 degrees Fahrenheit! 🔥 One giant bathtub! ☀️ 📷 @havasu_state_of_mind
Have you been to Capitol Reef National Park? For some reason, this seems to be the forgotten park of Utah’s “Big 5,” however, it’s GORGEOUS and far less crowded than other destinations.
