‘In a heart filled with gratitude, there is no room for discontentment.’
Whenever someone asks me how I’m doing, my first instinct is to just say ‘I’m ok.’ Just ok though?? Well no, actually. I’m pretty freaking G R E A T.
I catch myself wondering if the person who asked wants the whole answer. Or if I’ll come across as ‘too much’ if I’m completely honest and forthcoming about my vibe, my level, my frequency. And to be honest, I’m irritated with myself that I even have these thoughts 🤦🏻♀️ Jesse and I stayed up until 1:30 am last night talking about the past year. 2019 - you’ve been a doozy. There were so many times we were given the opportunity to complain, give up, write the rest of the year off. But we have worked hard to find each other, find the silver lining, and move forward in gratitude.
So here’s your warning friends, if you don’t want me to tell you how A M A Z I N G life is - don’t ask me 🤣🤣 because I am so grateful for 2019 and the lessons it taught me. Things could have been worse, much much worse. So here’s to leveling up in 2020 & here’s to celebrating those little wins in 2019.

These Kiddos wanted to stay in on this rainy day, and i am so glad that we have our box from @kidsnightinbox it's prefect for days in, it keeps them entertained for hours.
My kids love learning about Space and the box we got is the "Mission Space"
The box comes filled with so many great activities even space food! (dried ice cream sandwich) which the boys thought was really cool.
They made Astronaut puppets, read a book full of fun facts, drew a rocket, decorated a telescope and hunted for glow in the dark stars and so much more.
The box comes with everything you will need! I love that the contents of the box can extend beyond just one day, and the themes change monthly.
🚀 Check out @kidsnightinbox if you are looking for a fun activity that will also help your kids learn! #kidsnightinbox
I remember when I found out we were going to be parents for the first time. Luke and I had only been dating for a very short time. I was 21, with two years left to complete my bachelors degree.
I remember feeling afraid seeing those two pink lines appear on the stick. So many thoughts ran through my head. I worried so much about how others would perceive me. I worried about what my parents would say. I worried about the grand, life changing event that is having a baby and becoming a mother for the very first time.
I remember that there were many things I was uncertain of, but there were two that I never doubted. First, I was going to finish school. I wasn’t going to let this change affect the course I was already on. I had come so far in my education and I wanted to see it through to the end.
I continued pursuing my degree and became a better student. I studied harder. Improved my grades. Up until then, I maintained a 2.8 semester GPA. I challenged myself to get above a 3.5 GPA each semester out of the four I had left, receiving two 4.0’s in the process; and nothing under a 3.8. In a season where I doubted who I was and my abilities, I proved to myself that I was capable.
Second, I knew that even though my situation was not ideal, I would be keeping my baby. As fearful as I was, I knew in my heart that I wanted and needed the little life that was growing inside of me. That in so many ways, my baby would mold me into a better woman, partner, daughter, sister, and friend. That the person I wanted to become would be found somewhere in the messiness of motherhood.
We were young. Unmarried. Unprepared. But also, underestimated. Somewhere in the chaos and uncertainty, we’ve found our footing (and because of that, have added two other littles to our clan).
If you are receiving a gift that you hadn’t planned for, or in a season of completely uncertainty as a mother, know that you are not alone. But also know that I believe in you. I know you are capable. You CAN do this, and it is just the beginning of the best days of your life. ❤️
“Courage is not the absence of fear. It’s being scared to death, but doing it anyway.” ✨
Oh and P.S. I love his smile 🥰

Happy Saturday Beautiful Friends!! Yesterday was so much fun! We celebrated the feast day of St. Nicholas! It's a day my children look forward to every year! I get several messages sent to me on a daily bases asking how we celebrate feast days with such a large family. I don't mind sharing what we do. My prayer is that these posts help others dig into our beautiful faith more. I'm humbled, so many are interested in how we do things. Feast days are truly loved in our home.❤
To celebrate the feast day of St Nicholas this year, we kept it simple and fun. On December 5th, all the children laid out their shoes; they placed their Christmas lists and letters to Jesus inside a shoe and headed to bed. The next morning, when they awoke, they found their lists, and letters to Jesus both taken. In place, St. Nicholas left a new family book, cozy socks (some years slippers), a couple of little toys, and yummy sweet treats.❤
After everyone has checked out their goodies, it's on to breakfast. We always start this day with a sweet breakfast! Our menu includes all the things my children love! This year, we made flapjacks topped with cherries, greek yogurt, and maple syrup. We also served lebkuchen German spiced cookies, chocolate coins, sweet candies, oranges, and candy canes!❤
The rest of the day is spent doing all kinds of fun activities! This includes lots of reading, a fun movie, coloring pages, and many different crafts. Honestly, I love these days just as much as the kids. I only wish I would've understood who these beautiful souls were years ago, but God's timing is always perfect!❤
Love to all of you.❤
“The giver of every good and perfect gift has called upon us to mimic. His giving, by grace, through faith, and this is not of ourselves.” ~ St. Nicholas of Myra❤
I’m so grateful that this is the life I get to live! I love that I get to watch her little (or big!) personality blossom and I get to see and be there for all of her milestones rather than get a text from the sitter saying “she just took a few steps!!!”. I’d much rather be at home making money than be away at work all day!
New hair who dis?
Lollipop in one hand, froyo in the other. Yes, a lot of bribery went into the completion of this haircut.

‘Tis the season! 🎄⛄️❄️
Today’s forecast is freezing rain and is making us feel very cozy inside today. Yesterday, we cut down our tree (it was cold and windy!) and plan to decorate today.
The holiday season is officially upon us. Crazy how it always sneaks up so fast.
