There’s nothing better than being outside. Not even ‘sex, drugs or rock and roll.’
👉🏼Did you know that research shows that by being outside for a minimum two hours each week can reduce DEPRESSION, ANXIETY, LOWER BLOOD PRESSURE, CUT the risk of other diseases, and BOOST creativity and cognitive abilities... 🤯
Not even a great Netflix binge can come close to those incredibly positive affects of nature🌿
AM I RIGHT ?!
I read today that Pennsylvania researchers found patients in rooms with tree views had shorter hospitalisations, less need for pain medications and fewer negative comments in the nurses’ notes, compared to patients with views of brick. 🌳 🌳 🌲 🍂 🍁 🍃

Nature sure is powerful! On days when I can’t (or don’t!) get outside in nature I feel really ‘off’.... do you feel the same way?
Sometimes my time availability (and weather) makes me choose between an outdoor walk with the dogs OR an indoor workout. With an indoor workout they sit on their beds and watch me. I feel so selfish because I know how much they love to move. So I blow off my workout and go walking with them.
Emotional fitness is probably more important to me these days than physical fitness.... nature is more beneficial to my overall joy of life, on days that I have to choose. Maybe that’s related to why patients do better around trees...weigh in your thoughts! I love to hear from you guys 🌳🤷♀️🧡

✨A B U N D A N C I A

Who's planning to visit Devil's Bridge someday? 😈
It's a 4.2-mile popular trail outside Sedona, Arizona in the Coconino National Forest. It's the largest natural sandstone arch in the area, and if you visit during the right time of year, the trail will be covered in wildflowers!
Just remember to bring a leash for your dog if you bring your furry friends & remember your @11thessential to pack out trash along the way!
Photos don't do the Canadian Rockies justice, but I'll try my best 🤷♀️ 😍
Yoho National Park is full of hidden wonders and surreal sights, including this Natural Bridge viewpoint. You can access this scenic lookout on the road to Emerald Lake, which is also a must 💙
There are a ton of hikes and lakes throughout the national park, so you definitely need to add this spot to your bucket list 😍
// Enjoy the journey. But mostly, enjoy it together.
My heart is happy from all the connection and adventure this fall has brought. It’s taken some moments of frustration, but my cup is filling with gratitude! Also... I am totally gearing up and ready for the HOLIDAY SEASON OF MAGIC! Christmas is my favorite time of year. No grinches or cotton-headed-ninnymuggins please :)
P.S. I may or may not have gotten my Christmas tree already... and it may or may not be in my living room waiting for ornaments *teehee*

A few years ago I realized I wasn't living the life I wanted. Life wasn't bad, it just kinda felt like I was living someone else’s perfect life. I started imagining what MY perfect life would look like - not what society/family/friends define as perfect, but what I really wanted. I started to imagine the possibilities and started working towards that.⠀
Fast forward to today, and this week has been pretty much perfect. I'm staying in an AirBnb in the middle of the desert, where the view out the window is a dirt road winding through sagebrush. This morning I woke up early to get some work done, collaborated and laughed with an awesome group of people at work, went for a run in the sunshine, and then sat on the porch as I finished up the work day. For sunset I drove down a long dirt road, followed by a short hike and photography. This may not be everyone's idea of perfection, but it's pretty damn perfect for me.
As Henry David Thorough once said: "Go confidently in the direction of your dreams. Live the life you have imagined." Are you living your best life?⠀

“the meaning of life is just to be alive. it is so plain, and so obvious and so simple. and yet, everybody rushes around in a great panic as if it was necessary to achieve something beyond themselves.” 🌿
