Lincoln, Montana is a place I never get tired of visiting. Wonderful people live there including dear friends Chris and Rodger. After way too many years of life getting in the way, we finally got up there this summer. A grand time was had by all!
Part of it was spent at this great art installation. Sculpture In The Wild @sculptureinthewild is a permanent display nestled in the forest. An easy-to-access walking path takes you to all of the sculptures.
On our last night in Lincoln, we tried our hand at light painting a few of the pieces. (Oh my gosh, this was a lot of fun!) This particular piece is a Tepee Burner used to safely burn the slag or “left overs” from logging. This one was moved from another location up the highway a bit. Inside are fantastic photographs of logging and loggers back in the day. The acoustics are incredible.
There are many other beautiful pieces of art on display. If you are traveling down Highway 200, check out this great gem. Stretch your legs and enjoy to views. Then stop in Lincoln for lunch or dinner or just a snack. It’s a wonderful place. #lincolnmontana#sculptureinthewild#art#tepeeburner#beehiveburner#lightpainting#montana#nightphotography#getoutofthecar#getoutdoors
