This summer, I sat down with firsttime buyers K+E for a consultation and we discussed their must-haves & nice-to-haves for the search in the upcoming Fall market. With most buyers exploring different neighbourhoods, our search started off broad and we were driving West to East, East to West. Over time, we focused on a few select neighbourhoods 🏡🏡 Looking back at their initial dreamhome wishlist, we checked off every single box including all of their nice-to-haves 🙌💯 So happy for K+E that they found a place that is ☑️ a short walk to station ☑️ under budget ☑️ BONUS✨ has a basement apartment for additional income ☑️ has 3 sizeable bedrooms ☑️ has onsite parking via laneway ☑️ BONUS✨ has potential for a laneway suite.

Here's a flashback Friday post!😁 Did you know that certain murals done for previous editions of ARTWALK LITTLE INDIA can still be found at around the location? 🤔
One of them is artist's Susanna Tan's Stargazer's Wish done last year, which can be found at Singapore Indian Fine Arts Society (SIFAS) – 2A Starlight Road, Singapore 217755! 🤗
Stargazer lilies are known for their remarkable blooms and scent, and are fit for any occasion. Traditionally, lilies represent innocence and purity. The pink varieties of stargazers are thought to be representative of wealth, prosperity, and a sign of aspiration. It also conveys a message of honor.
Susanna Tan gracefully painted her well wishes to the Singapore Indian Fine Arts Society using her knowledge and symbolism of flowers in the hopes that their goodness will be well-known across our little red dot from their location on Starlight Road – and even this name ties in well with the entire concept of the mural!
It began like that. With a few strains of Bangal overheard here and there. Just enough to feel like a homecoming but not quite. And then I found myself on a street where the scent of Bel phool meets biryani, Singtel posters carry messages in Bangla, restaurants advertise mushurir daal and sheem chochchori on their menu, and a brave hand written cardboard sign says passport on arrival. Little India is like a movie set. It is a proud parade of every Indian stereotype. There's a peacock the size of a T-Rex around the corner. There's Kuch Kuch Hota Hai blaring from shops that only sell Bangles and Bindis. There are streets with names like Baboo Lane. I've often watched sitcoms and snorted, "Please, Indians are not like that. Who listens to DDLJ in 2019? We don't dress like that. We don't talk like that." Clearly, I know nothing about Indians. #Singapore#LittleIndia#Trippin#WhatIsThisPlace#CurryAndChaos#citystreets#streetscenes#grafitti

Live life colorfully. 🌈
Every time we travel, we think about how incredible it is to be on the other side of the world, in a completely different place, surrounded by people who are rushing to get to work, or standing on the street corner selling fruit, or all of the other things in between. It’s so crazy to us that we live in a world that’s seriously massive and filled with 8 billion people who all have different ways of doing life. It always makes us stop and think about how grateful we are for the life we have, and it also makes us realize how much we want to make sure we’re the kind of people who never stop learning. Learning about people, learning about their cultures, learning about their day-to-day lives. And making sure we always take the time to let those experiences change us and remind us about what’s most important. 💙
Singapore has such a unique culture to it, because there are literally people from all over the world that live here. This part of town, Little India, really felt like stepping into India with its colorful streets and mouthwatering smells of naan and curry. 😋
