Are you a fresh flowers around the house or office kind a girl?
I sure am, the way to my heart is always through a beautiful bunch of fresh blooms, of course I have to photograph them from every angle . How could I not.
Many a bunch of flowers has been the inspiration behind a range for the stock library.
Don’t forget to check out the flowers and foliage collection
Bought this bed heater with built in white noise for $20 - 5 stars + a raving review in my books! 🐕

One of my favorite hotels to hang out at in San Diego🧡 have ya’ll been to @delcoronado ? It’s a historical gem! On top of that, they have one of the coolest beachside bars I’ve been to around these parts, and also the best ice cream spots!!😋🍨
Two days til this *beautiful* movie is officially in theatres across the country! I had the privilege of seeing a special pre-screening last week of A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood, featuring Tom Hanks as the iconic staple of my (and probably yours, too!) childhood, Mister Rogers. This film told the true story of his blossoming relationship with a cynical journalist sent to profile him for an article. Thought-provoking, poignant, nostalgic, artistically interesting, and deeply personal to the heart of who Mister Rogers was...this film is worth the watch. Starting November 22nd, take your loved ones and maybe a tissue 😉 #abeautifuldaymovie#abeautifuldayintheneighborhood#ad
Today, I came towards the realization. The world is so much bigger than ourselves. There are so many people in the world who are in need. I’m brainstorming ways I can make an impact in my own little way. It’s important to find a cause you feel passionate about and give back. God has given me so many blessings, and with the holidays coming up, there’s never been a better time to give back. ❤️
The speed of creativity. .
Remember the fabric that we dyed in the late summer with natural findings? After washing and ironing and cutting into squares, we set to sewing. Each of us practicing our little stitches and then positioning each work in an order of randomness. We have a quilt top now. It’s been a slow work over a few months. Feeding creativity isn’t a quick before/after project reveal. It’s just a way of life.

It's officially starting to feel like the holiday season. The calendar is getting booked with things that ‘must be done’ during the holidays (to make it magical, dammit) and you can already feel the stress creeping in. I had a long conversation with a friend of mine today about how intense + overwhelming this time of year can be and it got me thinking... ⠀
Want some unsolicited advice for the holiday season? ⠀
- skip the activities that *look* postcard perfect but that you don’t LOVE. (e.g. We were supposed to head to the Toronto Santa Claude parade last weekend but the thought of huge crowds + a packed train full of flu germs, we decided that it was not worth the few moments of Christmas 'magic'.)⠀
- make time for the people that bring you peace, that feel like home and energize you.⠀
- be aware of what rejuvenates you vs what sucks your energy. ⠀
- Remember: life is short, don’t sweat the small stuff and crank up the gratitude practice. If you remember these things, you may just have a half a chance of staying tolerant and breathing deep when the topic of POLITICS comes up at the family dinner table.⠀
The holidays can be tough. Everyone is battling SOMETHING that is somehow magnified during the most joyful time of the year. With that in mind, above all, be kind. Aways.
Double tap if you are bringing nothing but good energy into 2020!
I’m right there with you but I have to make a confession. I have been letting my bad days stack up lately. They have been a total energy sucker. (I blame daylight savings, ugh!) Then on Sunday I had this revelation , ok maybe not a revelation but a thought. I thought about how carefree I was in my 20s.
I thought about how even with me living off ramen, stretching $20 for 7 days, and stressing about class, I still made it to the dance floor on Saturday night.
On today’s epsiode of #sheisyoupodcast I share some tips on how to have a good day/turn the day around. These tips are mainly a reminder to myself but I thought I would share 😉 Press Play Now ✨
What is one thing you do to have a good day?
It is the most wonderful time of the year. The best way to get into the holiday spirit is by sipping your favorite holiday drink and curling up on the couch with a good book. Cozy weather is in full swing! ☕️ What do you do to keep cozy? *Edited with my preset: cotton candy*

E non c’è niente di più bello dell’istante che precede il viaggio, l’istante in cui l’orizzonte del domani viene a renderci visita e a raccontarci le sue promesse.
Organization. She asked for this system to keep her rainbow looms organized and I wasn't going to fight her on wanting to keep her space clean 🤣.
Keeping our house clean all the time is incredibly challenging with two working parents. Often times it looks like a college dorm room up in here with underwear hanging from the lamps and piles of clean clothes mixed in with the dirty. .
It's hard to keep up with it all and we have always asked the kids to do what they can to clean. My normal request is that they help so we can be done faster and have more quality time together. I even tell them when I'm tired. Sometimes my daughter needs a few more reminders than my son, she has an incredible creative mind and certainly has selective hearing. .
When it comes to laundry - I typically fold all of the clean clothes into piles. Each child gets their own. I hang most of their items so I ask for them to get their hangers and then I help them prepare the clothes to be hung. They are then expected to put away their own clothes in their closet or drawers. My son also likes to find all of the matches for everyone's socks and sits down with me as his 5 year old thoughts come racing to the surface💖!!
How do you involve your kids in your every day responsiblities?

So these last weeks we have been using the @happiteeth toothbrush for Chanelle, I know a few of your have really liked the idea after seeing it in use in our stories and I can absolutely say it’s been such a win for us as it’s faster and more fun so she looks forward to brushing her teeth and sometimes wants to do it more then once let alone the old days of having moments of refusal to brush teeth!
I can noticeably see they look more well brushed as opposed to before too where I have to battle for her to let me have a turn with the brush and get in there and try so my best bruising in a quick 2 seconds that I am allowed!
Highly recommend these!

I can’t help but wander in her room just to look around. I tell myself it’s to make sure we have everything we think she might need, but really I catch myself just looking at her things wondering what she’ll be like, what she’ll look like and how our days and nights will change once she’s here. ✨ Your mommies are ready for you, sweet girl. 🎀

If I didn't put the diaper pod on the hat rack with Nolan's coat I would've lost track of it by the time my Mom picked Nolan up. Does anyone else have mom brain days when you can't keep track of anything?

WELP.... it’s a big night in our house. Little miss Chi Chi has graduated to a toddler bed. I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t a wee bit sad (and terrified), but she hasn’t gotten out since it’s been constructed, so that’s gotta he a good sign... right?!! 😭 #milestones

Nothing says I love you more than personalized gifts with our faces all over it. 🤣 With the help of @walmartcanada photo center, I created the most perfect gifts for my most dearest. 😁
A mug for grandma with Jude acting wild, so that she may never forget what she’s in for when she watches her favourite grandson.😏☕
A set of coasters for (S)He Who Must Not Be Named, with a photo reminder of who always forgets to put their drinks on them...🤭
A phone case for a cousin with Jude’s highly sought after one of a kind, prize winning train art masterpiece. A blanket for the pet dog as well, because he loves his art too. 🚂
A calendar for the Mr. with photos of his favorite people (AKA me and Jude). 👩❤👦 No joke there. We’re legit his favorites. #AD#SpendSmallGiveBig

The Wild Year!
In this episode of the Tentipiblog we meet Gina and Koen who made the quite unorthodox decison to move out into a Safir 9 cp, still keeping their regular day-to-day at their offices.
We have this rhythm. It was never something that we agreed upon. It just evolved through repetition.
Koen is in charge of the stove, dismantling, emptying and cleaning it, while I pack – arranging the items with tetris like precision so that our lives fit neatly in the boot of the car. I consider it an art form.
We would move through this process every few days, sometimes every day, occasionally swapping roles, but always returning to the same rhythm. One day we timed it: we could disassemble camp in 30 minutes flat.
We did this for a year. A Wild Year.
Find out more about Gina & Koen's year outside here, on the Tentipi® blog: https://tentipi.com/en-gb/blog/outdoor-living-on-the-edge-of-the-urban-jungle
Evelynn Grace. 💕 We cannot wait to meet you.
We have had her name set aside since our third baby. We always go in with a girl and boy name so we can walk out knowing the gender and name at the same time. We loved the name so much, that we just held onto it for this baby.
Little did we know how special the meaning would be with this little girl. When I first found this name I knew it meant “life.” When Elyse consistently began praying for a sister and the desire for a baby girl was placed in all of our hearts, I looked up the meaning once more...just because. And then I came across the second meaning, “Wished for Child” and I could not get over how perfect it was. I held that sweet truth close to my heart.
Once we found out it was a little girl my heart was overwhelmed with the beauty in the meaning of her name. It became all that more special to me, and names are very important to us.
We believe that Evelynn will bring life to those around her. That God will use her life to touch others with His love and goodness. 💕
I love the holidays...I look forward to them all year. But with the holidays also comes some major holiday social anxiety for me. We usually attend three different Thanksgiving celebrations between Thursday and Saturday. I am grateful to have so many people to visit. But sometimes I have to talk to people I don’t know very well. I have to make and bring food that I worry isn’t good enough. Then throw in my youngest daughter’s birthday. By the end of the week I’m completely emotionally and physically tapped out.
Imádom az őszben a bekuckózást, a forró teákat, az olvasást, az összebújós beszélgetéseket. Annak ellenére, hogy az ősz az egyik kedvenc évszakom én nagyon fázós típus vagyok. Mégis imádok ilyenkor is a szabadban lenni!
_______________________
I stood tip-toe on that windowsill, with that verdant ivy framing all, so so very still. The table rested quietly beneath the non-existent shade of tree, since the leaves formed a carpet of autumn at her feet. The air is colder now, bringing the whistling carols of the holidays over the hills, and the candles once lit on that scene are now quietly rested inside in this living. I want it all to slow a bit, to not see it pass before my eyes like a gust of an unwanted wind. And to think that December is right around the corner, when I’m in that veranda still - watching the green turn to crimson, and the white clouds dilute into that night all so grim.

Sometimes the story that calls to you isn’t the story you imagined... having unexpectedly found myself not far from chocolate box village Castle Combe, I stopped off - to find that the Insta-hot-spot bridge was decorated with diggers and closed for roadworks. But at the other end of the street there was woodsmoke, mist on the horizon, a solitary pine on the hill, and the sunshine breaking through. Which told the story of my Cotswolds morning just perfectly. 💫

I find myself in this sempiternal road. One that usually does not have a alternative route, just back and forth like a swing in a big oak tree. It can be quite unsettling, this apparent lack of choice, this absence of diverging short-cuts. But life is a straight line in it’s great multitude, and that’s poetic to say the least. The only thing I can do, is - instead of walking in it, symmetrically, right in the middle - to enjoy the little changes it presents, the occasional jump of the fence, the sinuosity of the path before me. And enjoy these little outcomings.

For those of us that are not quite ready to move on to pumpkin all-the-things, the recipe for this delicious Apple Spice Cake is on OHB. It’s an applesauce cake with bourbon + cinnamon swiss merengue and candied hazelnuts...seriously so good!
