⏳ If you know me at all its likely you've heard me say that time is an abstract construct. I've even gone as far to say that time (the time that dictates when we need to be places by) is not something I believe in. That's a bit of a reach, I know... but hear me out:
We all have the same 24 hours in a day. What we choose to do with those 24 hours is the difference between living the life you want and being stuck in a perpetual cycle of excuses!
How many times do you leave work or go to bed feeling unproductive? Feeling guilty you didn't workout or that you grabs take out rather than making a home cooked meal?
Time is abstract because its malleable. So how are you going to use it to your advantage to make the best out of your life??? Let me know 👇

I write three statements every morning and they go like this.....
I serve the camping community
I inspire healthy living
I build businesses
Those are the three legs of the the stool I see myself standing on at the end of my life.
I write these everyday in my journal (or notebook really...)
But recently I stopped and looked at them hard to honestly make sure that I was on track and that I wasn't just writing these because they were a habit now.
In some ways they are a habit now and it flows out effortlessly.
But after taking a hard look at them again I realized that I am on the right path and I am working everyday to fulfill these statements.
I also look back every Sunday on the prior week to see if I lived up to these statements.
Some weeks I do and some I don't!
But I keep pushing to be better and that's what is important.
Do you write statements?
If so, do you live up to them?
Kids deserve our best — they deserve our time - our attention - our hearts - our love. They deserve family vacations - to the beach - to the mountains - to a camp site.
These two don’t always get my BEST — that’s a hard one to face — BUT I will continue to strive to give it to them.
I know I’m not a perfect parent - far from it - but I love these two more than they’ll ever know. I would do anything for them to have a better life than I’ve had - as my parents have done for me.
They are my heart - my life - my world.
Take time - reflect on the moments you spend with your kids. Tell them that you love them EVERYDAY. Tell them you’re proud of them EVERYDAY. Tell them what they mean to you EVERYDAY — because they deserve it.
What is your why?
What gets your up in the morning? What gets you to workout, eat healthy, work your butt off? What keeps your positivity in check? What drives your to follow Jesus?
Having a why or purpose in life isn’t just for entrepreneurs!!!!!!!! Living with purpose and a why that makes you want to cry gives you more to live for. Do you want to impact this world? Do you want to leave a legacy behind for your family/friends? Do you want to feel like you have your all at the end of your life?
If you have a farmers market, GO SUPPORT IT. Fresh ingredients to meal prep week 3. #75hard#livehard

Continue to raise the bar no matter what!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Nothing can stop you if you believe in yourself.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Life and injuries can get in the way but as long as we can remain strong and adapt as problems come we will make it through.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Take the first step and don't look back on where you were, look forward to where you will be!
What do you see when looking at your reflection?
I see someone who will never give up no matter the situation.
I see a hardworking human that was put on this planet to do big things.
I see a kind, giving person that will do anything for anyone.
I see a dog inside me that is hungry for more.
Comment below what you see!⬇️
I’ve struggled with my fat loss efforts all year. I’ve tried everything to no avail and I’ve been really open about it that frustration.
At the end of 2018 I was really successful and lost almost 20 pounds and 18 inches in 8 weeks. And because of work I didn’t go the gym at all. So being that I’m following those same macros and now on #75hard doing two workouts a day, I should be seeing progress.
So today I poured over all the data I have (I’m a nerd in that way and love all the data!) and I found what I hope is my missing piece of the puzzle.
I’m a type 1 diabetic. So I’m dependent on insulin to keep me alive. The issue is that insulin is a tricky thing, because technically it tells your body to use the carbs and store the fat.
Just over a year ago I started looping. Basically, it’s a technology that simulates having a working pancreas, so it increases and decreases my insulin for me to keep my levels stable.
Here is where I found my issue. To much insulin on board at all times prohibits fat loss, to much insulin on board causes weight gain! With looping it’s constantly giving and taking instead of just a small steady background amount.
So! I’m making some changes and seeing how this plays out the next 4 weeks. If I’m right, the reduction in the fluctuating insulin should be the key! My most recent a1c was 5.3, with less than 1% lows. But I’m willing to have a bit higher number and decrease the insulin usage.
Ps, if you are T1, always be sure to check with ur dr before changing your levels to avoid dka!
For a brief bit, I joined a group on FB that included individuals starting and have “allegedly” completed #75Hard or other phases of the live hard program.
6000+ members and these were posts I saw daily:
-posts of “heathy” cheese cake, alcohol free beer, and “should I do/eat this?”
-posts on modifying water, diet, workouts, and all the rules, really
-someone posts about getting a workout done in inclement weather...some person in the comment section: ”I hAvE iT hArDeR”
-people posting their progress pics with an emphasis on the physical transformation with a mental program
-people buying/sporting 75 Hard gear without completing it
-people bitching and complaining about Andy’s opinions about all of this stuff above
This program is not for everyone, but everyone wants to make the program tailored to them.
If you can’t do it right, don’t say you’re doing it.
If you have to look for a stipulation, substitute, excuse, clarification, or anything of the such, you’re not doing it.
It’s okay to not do it or to not have completed it.
I actually WANT people to do it; not try it, do it.
The problem here is that I want what is best for them more than they want what’s best for themselves.
The truth hurts so much that their ego defends and ruins the opportunity for real growth.
In my opinion: This is the only program that matters when it comes to growth in all areas of your life. Period.
Andy literally gave you the framework for free, but the reason why few actually complete it is that the dues are paid in blood, sweat, and tears every. single. day.
There aren’t options. There aren’t excuses. It’s: you did it or you didn’t do it.
Probably my biggest lesson over the last year: If you can’t do the small things, you will never do big things.
That’s why I’m going to keep repeating the live hard program until I physically can’t.
My futures so bright I gotta wear shades 😎 hiking high in the mountains, my @shadyrays help to seriously calm that sun down. I love the durability, the AMAZING polarized lenses, and the ability to stare at the dessert in the window without anyone noticing what I'm looking at. I'm already eyeing my next pair, the Aviators in Black Gold 😏 My current sexy @shadyrays is the Titan series in Black Glacier 😎 Added bonus: They also donate 10 meals to @feedingamerica with every purchase 🤗 Go check out their killer styles and let me know what you think!

Reflection is so important.
It’s the ultimate way to be grateful.
Taking a step back, and regaining perspective.
It’s what has helped me to keep a level head when things get tough and/or stressful.
Most people live their entire lives without reflection.
They keep blinders on and a narrow focus on what they’re doing and what life truly has to offer.
Just because you’re looking at things from a high level, doesn’t mean you can’t be about the details.
I’ve always been about the details, big or small, but...
If you don’t reflect, you are limiting your growth.
We are naturally in a state of wanting to see immediate results.
Listen, I get it.
This goes with anything.
You want to be good at the sport you’re just learning how to play, you want to be good at the job you just started, you want to shred the fat and put on muscle.
Whatever it may be, you want results, and you want them now!
I get that because sometimes the long game CAN be discouraging.
But like anything in life, it takes time.
I’ll never lie and say it doesn’t.
It takes time, hard work, effort, and doing the same thing day in and day out.
Might seem monotonous, but I promise it works.
I mean, really, what amazing things do you know, and know them to be built over night?
It just doesn’t happen.
Trust the process, work hard, put your head down, and enjoy the journey.
I mean, it’s YOUR journey!
Be excited! Embrace the hard times!
You’ll always come out on top this way, and you may even surprise yourself more than you think.
Stick with it. Don’t keep hitting that reset button.

I didn’t ever believe in vitamins in the past.
Literally every single time I would hear about them it would be in one ear and out the other.
Quite honestly I thought it was a load of BS and I could do this whole health thing on my own.
Well I was wrong. Really wrong.
Little did I know, this played a huge role in fat loss.
As much as we try- we definitely don’t get in the right amount of vitamins & minerals, fruits & veggies, that we should.
I mean, I definitely don’t.
And I can definitely tell you that I feel a hell of a lot better overall since I started taking a daily nutrient packet.
I feel more of that natural energy throughout the day, and a little less of the “drag” that I used to feel all the time.
This is because I’m giving my body a lot of what it needs to function optimally.
Now, remember; this is not a magic pill.
We still need to have a proper nutrition plan, exercise daily, and have proper amounts of water throughout the day!
But this is ALSO something that helps me when it comes to overall health, and really keeping my body healthy & strong.
I mean, we usually prioritize the wrong things first, but I can tell you, long term health is important to me AND just feeling good regularly is ALSO important to me.

I've had a hard time trying to find anything I really want to say
My mind is tired holding the weight of people's stupid games
I feel locked in a box in more ways than one
And I'm ready for this nightmare to finally be done
6 feet apart and a mask on our face
Feels like a mile and stuck in a cage
Maybe it's for the better or is there no reason to worry
One day we'll look back and just say it was part of the story
I know in this feeling that I'm not alone
8 billion people i can't be the only one
I hear all my friends praying for a normal day
The look in their eyes feels like a wave of pain
I think the whole event has really been a blessing
Suffering together makes us feel like family
When we're all hindered in our ability to gather
It speaks to our humanity of what really matters
We're all going through it we could all use a hug
Do me a favor after you read this share a smile, share a laugh and go spread some love💘

I’ve been journaling the last 50+ days...... and one thing I’ve pulled from my experience is the conversations Alex & I are having right now VS the conversations we were having just a year ago.... they are completely different 💯💯💯
Elevated 📈 meaningful, based around ideas, action, getting better, improving, helping & serving others, making sure our family is GOOD, investing at a high level, growing & developing, traveling & more experiences, future tings.... ⚡️ the frequency of our conversations are just different.
IM so damn grateful to have someone to GROW & BUILD with ❤️ We know we’ve been given this vision & responsibility for a reason. Operating with immense care & respect for the blessings and grace God is providing in our lives 🙏🙏🙏 #letsgrow#seekthetruth#inmyprocess

I tend to find my happiness by working hard.
One of the best feelings in the world is happiness, you know... true happiness and joy.
You know that AMAZING feeling you get after you finish writing that 10 page paper that you didn’t want to do, but had to?
Or that feeling you get when you put through a workout that you didn’t even want to do to begin with?
I mean, come on, do you feel better after eating an entire bag of Doritos, or after getting a badass workout in and sticking to your cals?
You tell me.
That feeling of pure happiness.... that.
That is what I work hard for.
Because I know it’s earned happiness.
Listen, life is SCARY and it’s HARD.
I can tell you that first hand.
But you’ll always come out on top when you choose the hard path.
