✨Nourishing the Artist Day 10: Go play outside✨
As much as I love having my nose in a book with my purring cat by my side and a cup of tea, spending too much time indoors is not so good for inspiration.
Today’s prompt: Go play outside!
This weekend, take a nice long walk, sit by the sea, look up at the sky, get your feet on the grass, get some rain on your face... Notice the smells, the colours, the birds, and try to remember how connected we are to our good old Mama Earth. Let her inspire you.
What’s your favourite place to find inspiration in nature?
🎧 Today’s song is by one of my favourite singers: The Wind by PJ Harvey (link to the full playlist in my bio)
Guess the incorrect one! 👇🏻 #1 . Elias could eat peanut butter and jelly all day everyday if I let him. 😂 #2 . One time Elias stuck a piece of LEGO in my freshly made bread because he didn’t want to loose it. 😳 #3 . Elias changes his outfit about five times a day just for fun. 😎
Or..... #4 . He has jumped off a round bale shouting, “I can fly, I can fly!” 😂
Happy Friday Instagram friends!! ✨✨✨

Only spent an afternoon wandering this adorable seaside town on our drive from Barcelona to Valencia, but would love to return someday (preferably when it isn’t raining)!
I relate to this quote so much. Unfortunately, I've been swamped with work deadlines that I couldn't make it to the climate strike today. Luckily enough, my work bestie @rin.tse was able to attend and share her voice with other people to urge the Australian Government to not invest taxpayers $ to projects that use coal, oil and gas.
The future is in our hands and the only way to save this planet is to make decisions that promote sustainability. Here are some things you can do that can help the environment more than you realise:
🌱 Eat more plants: Meat production creates a large percentage of carbon emissions and an alarming rate of waste. By simply going vegetarian/vegan 2-3 days a week OR reducing your intake of red meat can make all the difference. Personally, I've cut out most types of red meat from my diet and have stuck to mainly chicken and fish. There are so many delicious alternatives that are plant-based and taste like real meat.
♻️ Reduce waste: Plastic use is a big one. So are the coffee cups you keep buying from your local barista. Bring a keep cup, use a reusable water bottle and do your best to not waste food and eat your leftovers. Also, think about your next clothing purchase. Is it ethical? Can it be re-used? Getting caught up in fast fashion isn't good. I repeat outfits all the time and have a minimalist style when it comes to clothing. Why? It's better for the planet and I have a happier wallet.
🚈 Commute less: Taking public transport is the way to go! It's cheaper and uses less energy than driving a car. While I know Sydney's public transport system isn't the best, most of the time it's pretty reliable. If you have limited access to transport, car pool with colleagues who live nearby. Leave your car at home where possible and think about other creative ways of travelling like cycling 🚴♂️
We all need to work together to create a better Earth 🌍 now let's make it happen! ✨ (📸: @rin.tse)
I love how ate Potato Corner placed my order for aesthetic accessibility. I wasn’t paid to do this. I just wanted to document my potato corner consumption after 7 months. But I wish I was. Hi @potatocornerph
With epic mountain views all around, you might forget that the micro world is just as stunning as the macro. But in the alpine, those gorgeous wildflowers send pretty good reminder. This photo was taken on a hazy morning right after sunrise. The sun had just cracked over the mountain and bathed the valley in a hazy golden light, creating great conditions to photograph these small beauties.
Fall, where are you? We’re over here just patiently (impatiently) waiting for the leaves to change and the weather to cool off so we can wear our sweaters more then just inside😉 #comeonfall 🍁
Are you team fall or team summer?!
To think that all the pinterest boards I made secret about “nursery” “wedding” “home decor ideas” and feverishly pinned into during college and after came true in our own kind of way. Just goes to show: the hoping, the waiting, the dreaming... it’s not in vain. I was single for 4 STRAIGHT years before I met my husband (not a long time to some, eternity to me). I lived in a lot of cities before him. Then we got married in a chapel made of glass in the middle of the woods. 120 of our closest friends, 1950s ballroom reception. It was a total dream and I still can’t believe that was my wedding. So much better than what I had pinned (though I always pinned elopements in the woods haha) GOD KNEW. And then we lived in a lot of homes before this one and this isn’t even our forever home. I liked a ton of IG baby pictures, followed a lot of mom bloggers, a lot of pregnancy announcements, YEARS before having one of my own! A lot of you DM me, “I’m not a mom yet but I always save your stuff for when I have a baby” “I hope to have a life like yours one day” and I always respond: “You absolutely will one day. You’re gonna love it.” And I freaking mean it 💕. God doesn’t just give to some. Sure sometimes we all walk a harder journey than the ones we see when we turn to the right or to the left, I know I felt that way growing up. BUT... God gives us all a ton of magic too. Don’t forget to hope for it and dream for it and find it! I promise it’s there... and I promise more is coming ✨
