Unforgettable Place || Lugar Inolvidable (Oia, Santorini. Greece). Unforgettable Place || Lugar Inolvidable (Oia, Santorini. Greece). “There needs to be a reason to go, so you go deeper into whatever place you’re visiting to find those unforgettable experiences.” Laird Hamilton.
How not to miss a place of such beauty? How to forget the unparalleled charm of Santorini? How to get rid of its unique architecture fused with its dreamlike Mediterranean landscape? Those who visit this Aegean island have the risk of falling in love with it, especially if they take enough time to stand there for several days and walk at dawn or dusk the streets of towns like Oia, when the hordes of tourists coming down from cruise ships do not invade its streets. Traveling to Santorini in late October or early November, when the low season has just begun, makes the visit much more intimate without losing that Mediterranean climate that many come looking for.
Once there, it surprises the large number of places where you can get a great photograph. In the small town of Oia, for example, many of the most famous views of the island and of all Greece are located a few meters away. Although in my trips I usually opt for a single location for each sunrise or sunset, at my last dawn in Oia I could not resist the temptation to run from one place to another to get several images. Having walking around the town for two days had allowed me to know the exact location of each photograph, so I was able to move fast enough to take advantage of the wonderful light and the spectacular sky that the island gave us that last morning. This image was the first one I took that morning, before running away with my wife to capture “Smooth Glamour”, and quickly sprinting to arrive in time to get “Perfect Sunrise” (my favorite photograph of Santorini). Without having eaten anything yet since we woke up, we still had some time to take more pictures and videos in Oia, before we had to leave this unforgettable place to which we will surely return. #Oia#santorini#greece#grecia#cyclades#europe
Hope you all have a pleasant afternoon🎭
Straßburg ist eine wunderschöne Stadt, in der so wohl die Landschaft ein Mischung aus deutscher und französischer Kultur ist💜
Beide spiegeln die Geschichte, die sowohl französisch als auch deutsch ist wieder💙

Twilight Charm || Encanto Crepuscular (Dinant, Province of Namur; Wallonia. Belgium). “Every sunset brings the promise of a new dawn.” Ralph Waldo Emerson.
For most tourists it might seem enough to spend a day in the beautiful town of Dinant, and then pass the night in another bigger city like Brussels. For the photographer, however, to spend the night in a place allows not only to have the sunset, but also the sunrise if necessary. Achieving exceptional light conditions is really difficult and increasing the possibilities does not guarantee success, although it does give a second chance that is sometimes essential.
On this occasion, the sunset was really magical and I got the dream picture of Dinant I was looking for, which I published a few months ago. I called it "Pink Twilight," because of the color with which the evening light illuminated the scene. My satisfaction was maximum and I doubted if I should wake up at dawn, however, a few steps from our accommodation I had found this other composition that I also loved. Despite the heat wave that was hitting Europe, that morning it was cold, the Meuse River looked like a mirror and Dinant appeared before me totally calm. From one charming twilight to another, I could enjoy photographing one of the most beautiful towns in Belgium. #dinant#namur#belgium#belgica#europe#wallonia#europe
