The apple a day which keeps the doctor away can now be local.
Homemade apple sauce, apple juice and apple crumble using the apples grown in my mum's forest garden in Wales🍏🍏🍏🏴. We're so lucky in the UK to have such widely loved and versatile fruits growing in such abundance.
The season lasts for months, with the majority of apples usually ready for picking in October.
Gotta love an apple 💚

Kentish Farmers Markets // Meet Evelyn Luck who I met at Rolvenden Farmers Market. She is a strong old farmer who has written two books on her life and her family's. She was born in Tunbridge Wells and grew up around Rolvenden and married a cider maker. I read one of her books and it is just lovely to read about life as it was then with lots of old pictures to illustrate it. #tunbridgewells
Current state of the farm. Cooler weather and fall crops. Lettuce, arugula, green onion, some baby kale and mustard greens.

What exactly is a kiwi berry?⠀
Is it technically a kiwi or a berry?⠀
The answer is . . . a little bit of both!⠀
This little fruit is the smaller, sweeter, less acidic, and far more versatile cousin of the common kiwi. Kiwi berries' thin, fuzz-less skin makes them an easy nutritious snack - no peeling required. ⠀
They are about the same size as grapes and will add a fresh pop of sweetness to salads and fish dishes. ⠀
Let them ripen at room temperature until they begin to shrivel, and then keep them in the refrigerator to preserve their ripeness for up to a week.⠀
💚DOUBLE TAP if you love kiwi berries 💚🌱⠀
