What do you want to do when all this mess is over?
Today we watched a wonderful video with multiple great movie scenes with people dancing. We thought it was appropriate, considering that we saw it the same day we found out that one of the most excited festivals we were to attend this year, the Boom Festival in Idanha a Nova, was postponed to 2021 due to Covid19.
We will have to wait to celebrate.
And you, what do you want to do when it's all over?
Older one @_.saint.jordan is fighting the 'flu (we hope that's all it is)..... So Junior and i and fetched eggs today in the garden. Yeah, it's only day 2 of this lockdown and the activities are fast running out! #Lockdowndiaries #zimbabwe #covid_19
I dragged myself to the shops for the first time in a week this evening and then took about 2 hours to make dinner. kept stopping for snacks and vodka ginger ales - who even am I?! I decided to make a Salad Nicoise tonight because its been about a week since i had anything vaguely resembling veg. Don’t worry, before you all think I’ve taken it one fancy French salad too far - I used tinned tuna AND made it while simaltaneously eating many MANY gerkins straight out of a jar for no reason other than I bought a huge jar of them at the shops. ANWAY, todays lockdown diaries involves my trip to Lidl. I over filled my basket as per usual. I dropped stuff out of. Standard. A nice man instinctivley reached down to help me and then there we were both frozen in a moment of “oooh shit”. Him bending to pass me my dropped crackers in latex gloves - me reaching out and thanking him while wanting to hurl said crackers into aisle 5 and shower immediately. Was very much struck by quite how much has changed in less time than it takes to go on a two week holiday. Was sort of ashamed of myself and sad that I’d be cautious towards another fellow human in that way but times are a-changing aren’t they. Cannae wait till it all goes back to normal. If it ever does. Here’s hoping. #illustrator #socialdistancing#coronadiaries#shopping#illustration#lockdown#supermarket#nocontact#argh#thankyougoodbye#quarantine
Day 7: it looks like “foggy bottom” outside. I was up until 1.30am doing housework, and watching Crime channel. It’s 10.30am, my kids are watching 2 different Narnia movies on the Tvs simultaneously 🙃🙃 #lockdowndiaries
Lockdown is no excuse for overeating or not exercising or gaining weight.
Yes there are limitations. So what can you do differently to ensure you stay healthy? Vary tour doet? Workout at home with a YouTube video?
No space you say coz the whole brood is home? Wake up earlier to get 20 minutes of Your space to stretch; do some yoga; or some pranayam or some meditation.
The options are PUHLENNNNTYYY.
How are you empowering your mind during this critical stage of life? #lockdown2020diaries#lockdowndiaries#stayhomechallenge#stayfitstayhealthy
Tuesday 31st March. Lock-in (someone else posted that a lock-in was much more positive for our brains than lockdown - like a lock-in at a pub after hours. I’m going with it 👍🏻) 😊 Happy to report that today felt better than yesterday. Quite a bit. Loved all the comments and agreement on my post yesterday, and the fact that some days this all feels really hard for all of us 😕 and for me, not getting out and seeing people 🙋♀️is the hardest!! But a lack of structure really doesn’t help 🤪. So, whilst I’m happy I’m not driving around constantly dropping off, picking up, going to meetings etc. It does automatically give me structure. So today I worked on that 🕐 and it was better and felt like a more positive day.
Part of the structure is work, part is fitting in a walk and some exercise. On that walk I seem to keep seeing these two ducks 🦆 ok, I know it’s probably not the same two, but I like to think it is and that they’re out for their daily swim 🤣
Another part of the structure is a family meal in the evening 🍲. I have been enjoying the opportunity to take more time to cook and enjoy the meal together without rushing as we often have to do.
So. A better day. Structure helps. And also, so does singing 🎤 - there’s no one about when I take a walk, so I can listen to music and sing along out loud without anyone knowing 🤣🤣👍🏻🤪 Chloe xx #lockin#lockdown2020#staypositive#lifecoach#lockdowndiaries#riverwalks#walk#ducks#nature#exercise#health#wellbeing#structure#organised#lists#bulletjournal

"Don't wait for the storms of your life to pass. Learn to dance in the rain"
Day 8 of the (third of the way through - we hope) #lockdowndiaries and today was yet another #goodday
Managed to get a lot of #workfromhome stuff done early doors, which made me feel good and a bit #smug and actually #useful and spent the rest of the day popping in and out of calls and emails playing with #myboy yes, on the video he is saying 'take that you scurvy dogs' 🤷🏼♀️ but what can I say? He's an absolute #treasure and after yesterday's bit of time to myself I was ready to be a #goodmum today!! Also worked out the whole #googleanimals thing, so now we have to have penguins in all our messy rooms - no, I have not taken up cleaning whilst at home #fuckthat
I finally managed to paint my #rainbow and at some point will definitely get it on the window (probably when #lockdown is over, but it's the thought that counts!)
Bit disappointed today that after running my 20 miles for the #nottheashby202020#ashby20 and proving what I'm capable of when I put my mind (and body) to it, I am one of the 1% whose hoody hasn't been sent 😪 I mean, I've always known I was #special but just goes to show it can be a blessing and a curse! Instead, I have included a picture of my best mates #fithusband modelling hers (you're welcome ladies 😉) to cheer you all up being stuck at home #phwoar !
Tonight is a designated #vodka night, as I've promised to only have a drink every 3rd day at the most (I'm sorry, but every day probably is a problem guys 🤷🏼♀️ try and resist #bestrong !) #garden#myworld#loveofmylife#greygoose #pirate#blueeyedboy#mybestfriendshusband#wealllovedan#stillavoidingthenews
Today was suppose to be the start of Term 2 for this guy, but instead we kicked off day 1 of Homeschooling. I got a little teary eyed when we watched the video from his teacher. Grade 1 is such a big year for these little people and this is definitely the kinda speed bump they don’t need. But Ben seems very unfazed by it all and showed up for our lesson super keen. Long my it last 🤞🏼 #lockdowndiaries#coronalockdown#BenGrade1
While we wait for all of this to be over,
-Remember to pray for the world.
-Practice all personal hygiene measures.
-Boost your immune system.
-Put that business idea on paper.
-Check up on that person who keeps coming to mind.
-Do something new, exciting and profitable in this season. - Most importantly, Stay at home if possible!
Thinks it’s a good time to get my wool on again 🌈
Feeling inspired by The Rainbow Trail.
Craft & rainbows are good for the soul. Create a yarn rainbow individually or collaboratively. The treasure is within the making, connections & joy of art displays.
Pink Floyd running through my head all day .. ‘ticking away the moments that make up a dull day.. ‘
News about the treatment of migrant workers made me sick .. such little value for human life in our country ... I am told that quaratine is making everyone eat more.. stress eating, I think .. I have gained two kgs in the past week. What can one expect, staying home and heading to the fridge for distraction?! So, have cut down carbs for the night and have decided to intensify exercise and weigh myself everyday .. also back to intermittent fasting of 14-15 hours from tomorrow.. I hate being overweight and sluggish. Was a plump child, so gaining weight makes me feel terrible .. I deep cleaned the house today .. my question still is, how I can see dust when everyone else can’t 🤔? Watched the rest of the brilliant satirical Irani film ‘Taxi’ by Mr @jafar.panahi .. have become a huge fan of his work.. Food was simple today, some kurkuri bhindi, methi aloo, moong daal and jowar rotis.. What did you guys do to give meaning to your day? #Stayhome#StaySafe#LockdownDiaries#21In#GettingThrough21#Making21Count

// Hi friends from the balcony 👋🏻 Simple joys of life 💘
Spread from my sketchbook with gouache and pencils (based on a trip to Morocco in Jan 🌞, even more grateful for it now).
Are you being productive? Not really? In-between? how are you? How are your loved ones?
I'm feeling unproductive but trying to push through and not stare at the wall, worry or read the news. A bit of doodles here and there, a lot of plant watering, growing seeds, worrying, talking to my friends and family, more seed sprout watching, washing my bicycle, animal crossing, watching plants grow. My mantra is a little everyday, it doesn't matter but if I do even a little bit every day is good ✏️✨
I wrote a long list of things to do for me and things I can share with you ☺️✨✏️ Last week I organised my holiday photos and this drawing is based on a trip, reliving the memories and dreaming of places, things are hard and confusing and complicated (probably for all of us, for you, for me, for our close ones) and this is my escape ✏️🖼♥️🌞✨
Sending lots of love your way 💌
What I did today: DAY 1
Yoga in my night suit
A long leisurely breakfast
Read the news off my phone (10 mins only)
Washed lunch utensils
Checked the edit of my short film
Looked at old family albums with Tara
Finished an article for a publication (will post it here soon)
Called my cousins Vimi & Meera
Worked with Sanju (husband) on his new story for a web series
Did my hair because I got sick of looking like Shrek
What I did today: DAY 7 .. the times they are a changing, Bob Dylan’s words ring truer now than ever. End of March, a month that seemed like a year.. How will this time change us? What do you think? Do you think we will adopt #SocialDistancing as a way of life?
Today I was tech incharge for the husband as he did a Skype narration of one of his stories, that how low his standard is when it comes to tech. So he can fly the Boeing 787, but can’t make a Skype/Google Hangout call without me .. cracks me up!
Started watching #FatihAkin ’s ‘In The Fade’ .. have been a huge fan since I saw the brilliant ‘Edge of Heaven’. A Turkey trip was planned only so I could see the country I saw in the film .. Our vegetable supply finally got in today and I have never been so excited to see peas🤩 #sabzisaresexy 😉
We had kacchi gobhi ke parathe with dahi for lunch .. and sautéd cabbage and Maggi for dinner. My domestic goddess mask is beginning to crack.. but the bathroom got a scrub it will
remember for a long time.. Hope you had a good day? Because lockdown or not, these are precious days sliping by.. I’ll be damned if I let a day go without making something of it.. With gratitude for all your love and a prayer for each one’s safety🙏
Dressed bright for Yoga.. Pushed hard at Suryanamaskars.. Meditated via @headspace app (try it, really valuable)
Swept the living room, wonder how so much dust enters the house 🤔
Great for glutes and abs though .. Cooked Dahi Karela and Egg curry with Kasuri methi for lunch .. head to my stories to see how they turned out.
Watched the brilliant ‘Inglourious Basterds’ (by Quentin Tarantino must watch, if you haven’t already)
Took a long afternoon nap 💤
FaceTimed my parents and brother, Mayur, who is in Vancouver. Feel blessed everyone is at home and safe.
