EARTH IS A PLAYGROUND🌎
•I don’t always have a plan. In fact, I barely ever have a plan.
•I was broke when I started. I’m not broke anymore, but I’m no where near rich.
•I was a little nervous and scared at first. But I learned to just roll with it.
•I take life one day at a time, no matter what comes up.
•Work hard and apply yourself, but at the end of the day... don’t forget to explore and have fun while you’re doing it.
•Because years from now, when you look back on this journey you’re in the middle of, you’ll want to have more to reminisce about than just the tough times.
•Throw some good times in there too. Don’t take life too seriously. Smile more often.

I’m the exact same person in both of these photos. I put my dress on the same way I’d put on my uniform skirt, I place my hat the same way on my head as I would my cover. Every morning I pick out which lipstick to wear, in uniform I pick a neutral shade + out of uniform I try some more daring. Even so, when I’m in civilian clothes, people “just can’t believe” I’m an Officer in the Navy. Why? Why is it so surprising? Why can’t it be the norm to expect women to be serving, or to expect feminine women to be serving. Why is it so rare to see women who dress like me out of uniform serve IN uniform? Let’s change the norm, there’s a place for women. I love being a woman who serves, I love bringing new energy to a command, I love leading sailors in a full face of makeup, I love feeling confident in my uniform, + being proud to tell others I’m in the Navy. There doesn’t have to be a big *shock* when you find out a woman decided to serve her country, let’s change the #stigma . ✨ #womeninuniform#usnavy

Self Care ✨ With the end of an eclipse season, several planets in retrograde, post full moon and in the midst of Cancer season...energies are intense and currently feeling deep into all the feels. I have been feeling like I’m getting pulled in every direction. It’s important to notice when you are feeling depleted so you can take a step back and create space for yourself. Today I had a wellness day and visited a hot springs to soak in saline and mineral pools. Also enjoyed a red clay body mask. All which helps to detoxify your body. When you take care of yourself, only then will you be able to overflow with love to give back to others. ✨
