GREEN // gardening brings me so much joy because it brings me instantly back to my childhood • I would spend hours weeding and planting with my Aunty Netta or my Mum and I just found it so lovely to see the fruits of my labour once it was all done • I cannot wait to own my very own garden and really go to town on it with plants, decking, the works!but meanwhile, I will make our wee space as pretty as can be • anyone else love to garden?

Reaping the rewards.
From the new allotment. All the hard work is paying off! We are now harvesting our first produce. Beetroot, Rainbow Chard, Courgettes and Potatoes. I grow stuff in my home garden to, but this is the fist food from the allotment. Plenty more to come, watch this space.
Check out these Rampicante squash! 💛 “70 days. The famous Italian heirloom vining zucchini and pumpkin; long slender 15-inch fruit has a flat bulb at the bottom. It is one of the best eating summer squash: very tender, mild and sweet tasting. The flavor is superb! This squash is also great as winter squash. The Italians use it for stuffing in gnocchi and ravioli; the flesh is rich and flavorful, great for baking and pies! The vines produce good yields of this great all-purpose squash. The mature fruit grow very long.”- Baker Creek Seeds @bakercreekseeds

If you know me, you know that I am a compulsive planner. Planning out every minute of trips, hosting brunches for my gals, and breaking out the china for dinner parties are my bread and butter. I thrive in the details. This month I’m turning 26 and for the first time in my life I’m looking at an empty road ahead of me. I graduated high school, college, then got a job. Now what? Other than paying my bills and voting in November, I’ve really got no idea what the future holds. It’s been the biggest life lesson to be unable to plan ANYTHING during this time. Sure I could open Pinterest or google maps and get to manifesting, but I’m doing my best to sit with my discomfort with the unknown. Call it one last quarter life crisis before my Saturn return 🤷♀️ Life is REALLY pushing me to have more chill, and I’m fighting it every step of the way. How do you handle uncertainty? And what are you most looking forward to right now? 🌹
Have a great Weekend everyone ✨

Garden Design Tip: these were the first raised beds we built on our property. There are 8 of them. They are 2 feet tall by 3 feet wide by 14 feet long. We keep 3 foot walk ways between each one and the ground is covered with pea gravel as oppose to using mulch. The P gravel really seems to help with not having a lot of ticks or mosquitoes in the area, Plus it doesn’t blow away or weather. If we had to do it over again, we were doing at the exact same way!
