Maybe it's delivering at night, but it seems a particular sweet tooth hits me and a customer. Now don't get me wrong I don't/won't tamper with anyone's bag (shame on any driver who does). I just don't know if I should be appreciative or jealous of the person who ordered. Definitely more appreciative because I've identified a new spot to try on my next day off.
Today's highlight is Kaylee's creamery. Here you can purchase hand made ice cream, the various flavors are shown above. You can order your ice cream with or without a cone with choices between fruity pebbles (yum), Lucky Charm marshmallows (Yes, Lucky Charm) and more. If you choose cone - you can go traditional, chocolate or matcha.
Kaylee's is located on 115 E 27th Street between Lexington and Park Ave.
Let’s talk about one of my favorite hidden Sushi spots in Bayside, Queens.
It’s run and owned by Chef Andrew who started this small sushi joint as a passion project and one man show, preparing the food as well as taking your orders and greeting customers at the same time.
The fish here is very fresh because Chef Andrew imports his fish directly from Japan every few days.
Not to mention the lunch specials here are a steal! The Uni & Salmon Roe rice is my favorite!
The wait is going to be long since he is the only one preparing the food, but worth it.
I love supporting small businesses like this.

Hey y’all! Today, I want to share with you one of my favorite (private) Christmas Trees in the city! 🎄☃️
I say “private” just because it’s not one of those trees that you find in city parks, plazas and/or streets of NYC ... This is the LOTTE Palace Hotel Christmas Tree and you don’t have to be a fan of the popular TV-series Gossip Girl to want to visit it. 😉
The main Hotel entrance (which is like a mini square) is open to the public and during the month of December it showcases this iconic tree & beautiful Christmas wreaths; the place just has that “old-world” vibe ... It reminds me of places like Paris, Prague or Vienna ... You can sit down in one of the open tables & chairs, sip on a cup of Hot Cocoa & watch the people walking by along Madison Avenue carrying season gifts with them 🎁
If you want to take a stroll with me during this Christmas & Holiday Season, I’m conducting special Christmas-themed tours around Midtown (and other more off-the-beaten path places) to admire the beautiful NY Holiday decorations & some of my favorite trees! 🎄☃️🎄☃️🎅🎄🎅
