Hey Travel Lovers!
Is Petra also on your bucket list? How about experiencing it by candle light at night?
Inspired by the days when travelers stayed in Nabatean tombs and homes that had been outfitted by local Bedouin with sleeping quarters for guests (and plenty of candles), Petra by Night is truly a memorable experience. Enjoy the stunning beauty of Petra by candlelight. Organized by a number of our local tour operators, the evening begins at the entrance to Petra’s Siq (main entrance). You will follow the slot-canyon deep into the ancient city; the path lit by hundreds of candles. The sky is a blanket of sparkling stars and off in the distance the twinkling lights of Wadi Musa can be seen. The journey through the Siq ends at the famous Treasury, also lit by candles! Local musicians play traditional Bedouin music while you sip on sweet mint tea and take in the stunning ambiance of Petra illuminated by flickering candlelight.

Been here in Mexico with @dexteryz for a bit over a week :) We’ve attended a Mexican Indian wedding, started 1 week of Spanish classes, watched a hilarious session of Lucha Libre and ate a LOT of tacos 🌮🌮 2 more weeks to go including celebrating Día de Muertos with some local friends 😍🇲🇽 Viva México!
Ryan and I loved visiting Philadelphia for the first time this past weekend. Of course we had to visit the Liberty Bell! The history behind the bell and its standing as a symbol of equality and freedom was inspiring to read about.

🇺🇸 I already told you, I know, but becoming a digital nomad has been a great choice!
Do you see that swing? Even I who hate the sea couldn't avoid a lap after work.
WIND-DOWN ... anyone who knows me and for most of the people who follow me its pretty obvious that I am on the go more or less all the time.🌪
So biggest challenge so far ... winding down, slowing the pace, not letting my mind take over and start creating crazy negative thought patterns because I have too much time on my hands 🤯
So first step - breathing and taking control of my own emotions/mindset. I am on an epic journey and sharing it with 2 of the most important people in my life (even if they do drive me to distraction at least 15 times a day).🤪
Step 2 - make the most of my days. I have been saying for years I must do yoga every day and just haven't so now I am.🧘♀️
Step 3 - this is what we are here for. Bouldering. Site seeing. Climbing. Biking. Surfing. Hiking ... make the most of each stop and get involved.🚴♀️🏄♀️🧗♀️⛰
These are my steps and my promises to me to make the most of this trip.
I'm also lucky to have someone who know me inside and out ... so when the crazy creeps in it's not long before I have a call or a message to remind me I'm not 'out of sight out of mind's merely temporarily relocated 😅 thanks @gemma__louisedavies ❤🧡💚

Don’t mind us🧖🏻♀️🛁🧼 it was a little too chilly to go swimming outside so we brought things indoors👯♀️ see more of our stay at @shangrila_van & get a full breakdown of what we did in Vancouver on our blog, link in bio!

A check list of what you’ll see adventuring through Washington state:
...with snow on top[✔️]
Moss tree people [✔️]
Edward Cullen [✔️]
Views for days[✔️]
We had driven the PCH in California and Oregon, so we made sure we had time to drive part of it in Washington too. The beaches we visited in Washington were a little different than what we are used to, but still beautiful. Almost hauntingly so.
Journeyed through Jordan this afternoon with the Jordan Tourism Board @visitjordan. The educational experience brought us to Amman, one of the oldest inhabited capital cities combining the old and the new, with a wealth of history and culture and a host of new 5 star luxury hotels that have recently opened to provide modern accommodations and create comforts for travel.
Spend at least half a day in Jerash, exploring the area just as it was during Roman times.
Petra, one of the world’s seven wonders is a place you need to spend at least 2-3 days to explore.
Wadi Rum, the iconic desert location is commonly used for filming for so many of your favourite movies!
Aqaba, the coastal city of Jordan, rounds out the top three tourist favourites of Jordan.
Experience the one and only bucket list experience at the Dead Sea for a one of a kind wellness experience.
For faith-based travellers, you won’t want to miss Bethany Beyond the Jordan, the place where Jesus was baptized or Mount Nebo, where Moses stood to see the Promised Land.
Head to Madaba, one of the oldest Christian towns and explore Christianity through the mosaic maps that the town is known for.
Book early as the interest in Jordan has increased exponentially over the last few years and many will combine itineraries with Egypt and/or Israel. Travel partners have itineraries that can include all the highlights of Jordan so you can experience a little bit of everything before deciding what you want to do the next time you return.
Want to explore Jordan but don’t know where to begin? Reach out and let’s see what we can find for you to experience this amazing destination for yourself! #visitJordan

This time last year I was enjoying a winter wonderland!Wishing I was playing in the snow right now!!❄️ #takemeback
I want to plan a cozy little weekend getaway somewhere cold, where should I go?
Because there is nothing better than walking down the streets of Colombia 🇨🇴 with an empanada 🥟 in hand (or 3?😇)!
Even though I love this photo so much, Bogota was not my favorite place in Colombia 🇨🇴 🤔. But as the epicentre of travel, everyone is bound to end up there at one point.
My lucky number so far is 3! 🤣🤣 Every trip was surprisingly different - I stayed in the old town and in the hoods, had locals show me around and wandered about alone, ate empanadas 🥟and ate empanadas 🥟 (OK, that didn't change)....anyway, you get the point. ~
I feel like I managed to uncover some of it's hidden charm each time 👀, and I'm super excited to write a post about it 📔. ~
As I'm in the middle of writing 🖋️ a guide on things to do in Bogota, I thought I'd ask what you appreciate about city guides the most.
Send me a DM or comment below, and I will be super grateful!! 😍😍
What do you always look for?
What do you find the most useful?
And what do you absolutely love ❤ or hate 🖤?? Here are some ideas:

* where to find the most authentic experiences
* a map with the location of top sites (so you don't have to waste time mapping all the sites only to realise they are too darn far)
* how to save money💲
* original things you can't find anywhere else in the world
* best places for Instagrammable shots
* best places to eat

Hi! I'm Ornella 🙌. And I'm here to prove that you don't have to make a lot of mone💰 to travel full time as a digital nomad 💻!! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I asked myself: Would I rather travel all the time on a budget 💲and work less or work most of the time and go on short fancy trips🍾? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
For me the answer was clear. BEING A DIGITAL NOMAD AND TRAVELLING 🌴 means FREEDOM to me and I wouldn't have it any other way. I took the plunge and BECAME ONE!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I work as a freelance translator and I'm mostly employed by Estonian 🇪🇪 companies - a country where the minimum wage is 500 euros/month!!! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I am good at what I do, but I CLEARLY DON'T MAKE MILLIONS 💰. I know a lot of colleagues, who honestly believe they CAN'T AFFORD TO EVER TRAVEL 🚫. Yet I've been travelling the world as long as I can remember and visit around 15 countries per year 🌍.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
How much you can afford to travel obviously comes down to the CHOICES YOU MAKE. I try to spend only on things that make me happy😃😄! Which is TRAVELLING and MEMORABLE EXPERIENCES.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I guess, I could be considered a budget traveller. But that's also how I love to travel 💚! I get bored lounging for weeks by the pools of all-inclusive hotels 🏖. I like to get to know the locals. Plus, I BELIEVE IN SPENDING ON THINGS THAT TRULY MATTER TO ME - visiting tropical islands🏝, climbing volcanoes🌋, white-water rafting on the Nile🚣♀️. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I honestly DON'T CARE FOR FANCY HOTELS at all - I don't even like them too much as my priorities are different!! I don't want to support corporations 🏦 - I'd MUCH RATHER DONATE MY MONEY TO HELP WILDLIFE 🐦🐳🦉🐝🐞.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I want to show you how cheap it can be to travel and how amazing it is to be a digital nomad. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I also love numbers and stats 📈, which is why I will be sharing exactly how much it costs to travel and live as a digital nomad. First up: South America. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
