I fell in love with this hand made, jute fringe wall hanging the moment I saw it. I was scared it might be a little boho for my space but it gives out rustic, minimal and glamorous vibes all at the same time! We usually tell our clients that it’s never a bad idea to mix in pieces that you will never pick out yourself. Don’t be afraid to push the envelope and be brave. Those pieces are usually what will stand out in the end.

All pink, but make it fashion! When Harlee asked for all pink everything for her room, I was a bit nervous but up for the challenge. We partnered with #EasyCarePaint from @truevalue and found the perfect shade, Pink Gloves, to create a happy and inviting big girl room. We added in some flea market finds to give my Harlee girl the big girl room of her dreams. See the full transformation on the blog - link in bio! # ad
My view at home earlier today. It was such a beautiful day here ☀️ albeit I was in bed and on the couches nursing a nasty virus. Hoping tomorrow I’m feeling much better. This weekend we’re going to have summer-like temperatures in the mid 80s!

Are you in the mood for everything apple??! 🍎🍎🍎We have 10,000 apples in the orchard, so we have to be! 🤣 I am constantly looking for apple recipes! THIS is the ultimate comfort food -✨ Caramel Apple Baked Oatmeal ✨ ⬇️ Recipe!
FOR THE CARAMELIZED APPLES:
4 Large Apples, peeled and diced
4 tablespoons Grass-fed Butter
3 tablespoons Maple Syrup
FOR THE BAKED OATMEAL:
4½ cups Quaker Old Fashioned Oats
1 tablespoon Baking Powder
½ teaspoon Salt
1 heaping teaspoon Cinnamon
4 tablespoons Coconut Oil (liquefied)
2 cups Milk
1 teaspoon Vanilla
⅓ cup Maple Syrup
FOR THE CARAMELIZED APPLES:
Melt the butter over medium/high heat in a large saute pan. Cook until the butter foams - stir constantly as the butter begins to brown and give off a nutty aroma.
As soon as the butter has browned, add in the diced apples and maple syrup. Cook apples, stirring occasionally, for 10-15 minutes, or until they have become a deep brown color and most of the liquid has evaporated.
Remove from heat and set aside.
FOR THE BAKED OATMEAL:
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the oats, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
Add the eggs, oil. milk, vanilla, and maple syrup to the dry mixture and whisk together until well combined.
Pour the mixture into a buttered 9x13 baking dish.
Spoon the caramelized apples evenly over the top of the oatmeal.
Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes until lightly brown and puffed on top.
Serve warm with milk and a little drizzle of maple syrup.

Our living room is getting taken over by pumpkins and I’m not even mad about it! 🎃 I didn’t want to wait any longer to pick some up, but since it’s still warm out, keeping them inside will help them live a little longer! 🍁 Today was a little cooler (finally!) so I’m hoping it sticks around! Has it cooled off where you are yet?? ☀️ #firstname.lastname@example.org http://liketk.it/2F3bg @liketoknow.it.home#LTKhome#MAatHome#falldecor

The guest room today versus the first day we saw the house. To be fair to the previous owners, they had just had an estate sale after two years of the house sitting unoccupied, so things were understandably a little unorganized.
My grandma gave me this cast iron bed a while ago, at some point my sister had it and painted it black (it was white) and when it made its way back to me I figured it would be perfect for this smallish space.
I love how the curtains give the light a glow effect. It makes the room look super warm and inviting as you walk down the hall 🤗🧡

R E L A T I O N S H I P S • I have not always been on good terms with my house, and our relationship can still be tenuous at times. For the first year or two of living in our home I really struggled to work WITH my home and found myself trying to make it into something it isn’t. And then, as to be expected became frustrated with the results. Our split-level home will always have some things that I wish were different, but I’m learning to embrace its style and try to make it shine. It was unfortunate that both times I saw the home prior to purchasing, that they were dreary, rainy days, so my dreams of a light filled home weren’t realized. But I do love a moody palette and after some practice, have finally caught on to what time of day the different rooms shine and how to take advantage of it. This picture is of our master bedroom and it’s pretty dim until the last hour or two of the day. But when that light comes in I’m in love even more! So, I guess you could say my relationship with the house is definitely on the upswing. We’ve comes to terms with how we’re made and embracing it!
Sometimes we get caught up in all the things that aren't going right in our lives, that we miss all the things that are. Take a moment to think about all the blessings that you have in your life right now and give thanks for them. Everything may not be perfect at the moment and that's ok. Choose progress over perfection. You'll be glad you did. #attitudeofgratitude

Please make sure that wherever you are at in life, you don’t treat it like a transitory period. Don’t waste your college years wishing you would already be graduated and have a job. Don’t waste your single years wishing you would be with someone your in love with. If/when those things come, they will come in due time and they will be good. But there is nothing like looking back and feeling empty because you wasted literal years wasting what you had because you were hoping for something better. While it’s important to better yourself and reach for your goals, don’t neglect the present because that’s where your are at now and it’s your now that determines your future. -Mark Groves 🙌🏻
Sofa styling tips! To create a more eclectic look, introduce 3-5 colors. I always start with the larger pillow the corner, and layer with smaller pillows in front. I use 2 pillows on each of the end, and three in the corner- including a rectangular lumbar pillow. Notice none of the pillows “match” but the palette is based on something else in the room, (in this case, the art). #studiomcgee just shared a great tutorial including the sizes she likes to use, and I think we hit all her “do’s” in this space :)

Daily reminder to ❁ BE NICE ⋒
I think often times it’s so easy to get caught up in our own problems, or the hate of the world that we forget to be kind humans. It doesn’t take much honestly... one small act, a few kind words. I promise it’ll go much further than you think. It’s so true, you NEVER know what the person next to you is going through. Whether they have a smile, resting b face 😜... regardless of how they may present themselves, they may be fighting the darkest battle yet. Be kind, spread positivity, spread grace, be love. Love like Jesus.
As a mama, I know it’s my goal to raise a kind human. Children watch us, closer than we think. If we aren’t spreading kindness, what makes us think they will? We are raising the future. Teaching our children to be nice and respectful humans can be the small change this world needs.
Make it your task today to make someone smile. Send a nice text to someone who may need encouragement, pay for the person behind you, tell a stranger they look nice. Not sure about you, but whenever I’m kind it makes me feel better as a person. It makes me happy to make others happy. So try it out y’all, and have a wonderful Wednesday!
“Nicole from @unclutter worked her magic again! In less than 3 hours, we transformed the garage shelving units. So excited for the improved function and aesthetic! “
So much appreciation for our WONDERFUL clients! Thank you to @alocke16 for sharing your unclutter experience 🌸 it was such a pleasure working with you to create a functional back stock pantry space.
Part of why I love this career is because of the clients I am #blessed to work with.
Organizing takes patience, hard work, thinking outside the box, and a positive attitude. Therefore, each project is an opportunity to grow and become a better version of yourself (and your space!)

WE'VE BEEN KEEPING A SECRET....
We bought a house! And not just any house, but probably the most beautiful house in Knoxville if you want my completely unbiased opinion. 😍 It was built in 1955 and is a true mid-century modern gem in the woods. We closed about a month ago and it's been surreal to say the least. It feels like we've been on vacation and that it's all going to end soon, but we actually LIVE here. 🤯
We've been looking at houses for two years, but after failing to find a house last year that we loved, we decided to move downtown while we figured out our next move. The past year living in the city has been so much fun, but I was ready to get away from all the noise and drunk people knocking on our door late at night. 😅 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I have always dreamed of having a big house for hosting dinner parties and holidays with enough rooms for guests to stay over (and I'm a recluse introvert, figure that one out). I'm also really excited to open up our new home to creative entrepreneurs and create a community in a beautiful space - I'll be hosting paid and free workshops, classes, get-togethers, and renting out the house for shoots!
I have felt ALL the feelings (mostly excitement, but a lot of fear too!) throughout this process. If you'd like to follow along, you can head over to @themilkywayhouse! (Just wait until you see the inside! 🙌🏻)

Ahhh! Here it is! This is what you see when you walk into our home, affectionately called The Great Room. Although it doesn’t quite look like this right now, since this photo was taken in the 50’s. 😉 Can you imagine the parties and get-togethers that must have happened in this room? We are so honored to be able to carry on the history of this house. We are still waiting on some furniture to be delivered, so stay tuned for the final reveal!

Welcome to the Milky Way House! We're Brad and Rachel Fugate. We met in college in 2011, got married in 2015, and love to spend our free time traveling, hanging with our pup, and binging Netflix shows. We are both small business owners - Brad is part owner of a investment advisory firm and Rachel is a wedding photographer. We've been searching for a house in Knoxville for the last two years that doesn't fit into the cookie cutter mold that so many other houses in the area do. We wanted a beautiful and inspiring space to invite friends and family over for dinner and holidays, while also having our own private retreat. The Milky Way House is nothing short of a piece of art, and we're so excited to share it with you!
This kids bath was the funnest to design... ok I know funnest isn’t a word but who cares when you have a striped bath design like this 😜. @ceragres had just released these tiles and we swooped them up before sample boards were made and client loved them 👌🏻 #minichevron#turquoise#kidsbathroom

Found this adorable doll house in the charity shop for £17 a couple of weeks ago, and was supposed to be saving it for Christmas.. but I was just too excited to give it to the girls, and Nancy was really bored the other morning, soooooo.. 😬😍🏠
Switched out a few things in the bedroom today to make cozier for fall! 🍁 It’s safe to say Hunter approves of the changes 🐶 The natural and heavier textures help warm up the space while still maintaining the neutral feel. Now it’s time for me to unmake this bed and cozy in for the night! 😴 http://liketk.it/2F1gp #email@example.com#LTKhomefirstname.lastname@example.org#MAatHome

One thing I love when styling my home is finding pieces that are beautiful and practical at the same time, and @ruggable is just that! #sponsored The thing I love the most about #ruggable is that is machine washable- vacuuming is not enough when a toddler is around making destruction (and a mama who eats on the couch most days haha). These rugs are also stain resistant, waterproof and non-toxic, hello mama!! Thanks to their 2-piece Rug System it is very easy to remove and change, perfect if you want to change things around in your room with a new beautiful pattern and color. I love this Crosshatch Light Grey Rug, simple and minimal just like my home. You can get 15% off your next @ruggagle order with code FUNCARLA15!
