The inspiration for this villa comes from tepuis which are flat table-top mountains that soar through the clouds into the sky. Tepui means “house of the gods” in the language of indigenous people of southeastern Venezuela and the stunning Casa Tepui surely lives up to its stature. The superb work by the LA design team at Co-Lab who created a modern yet minimalistic style that captivates you at first glance by its sheer openness and connection with nature. Its use of neutral tones and an organic color palette is ingenious as it allows the surrounding lush jungle come to life even more. You’ll feel one with nature and yet have all the modern amenities and one of the most luxurious stays imaginable. Contact us to book your next Tulum vacation : 📫Info@tulumportal.com

A hidden, sophisticated gen in a charming sestiere.
As fairly seasoned visitors to Venice we were looking for a different experience this time, and we couldn't have chosen a better place for that. On arrival by water taxi from the airport we were blown away the moment we stepped inside the super stylish main hall. Reception had been advised we were arriving very early and we had requested an early check in. We had about 20 minutes wait whilst we sat in their breathtaking and unexpected walled garden enjoying our first decent coffee since...the last time we were in Italy.
We were in the junior suite overlooking the canal and it was a spacious dream. The hotel was obviously previously a house of some importance and the sympathy with which the sparkling modern design had been worked within the elegant bones of the old house was outstanding. Super high ceiling with original decorated beams contrasted with ultra modern sanitaryware and a gorgeous in-room bathtub big enough for a family. Great shower, his and hers wash hand basins and loads of clothes storage space - all added up to a super experience.
Breakfast was a continental affair, with an option of eggs anyway you like, and copious cups of coffee plus fresh squeeed juice on offer. I think they had snacks on offer during the day but nothing we took advantage of.
Situated in a stunning, quiet but interesting neighbourhood within walking distance of the ghetto and its fascinating history you're 3 minutes walk from Orto water bus stop and the Casino stop on the Grand Canal is not ten minutes away across a couple of back canals and past some very good restaurants. Of an evening there is a lively bata and restaurant scene on the Fondamente Misericordia - one canal away - and the whole neighbourhood, though quiet, is a welcome relief from the craziness of Rialot and San Marco. Just go.
A private Event at Palazzo in the making. Looking forward to receiving our first guests 🎉

Ok, we did it again!
New web site, lots of hashtag SEO and back link works to make it look, feel and be worth the change.
But this is not all, we actually changed strategy and looked at the opportunity of levereging on our inventory, reputation and database to be better in what we do. In order to do that, we had to spin a part of our business off and…
Let's see, for now have a look at the first newborn just transferred in its domain after testing:
San Lazzaro degli Armeni is a small island in the Venitian Lagoon, northern Italy. It lies to the southest of Venice and immediately west of the Lido.
A leper colony during the Middle Ages, since 1717 the island has been home to the Armenian Catholic Monastery of San Lazzaro. It is the headquarters of the Mechitarist Order and, as such, one of the world's prominent centers of Armenian culture and Armenian studies.
From 1789 until the early 20th century it was a major center of Armenian printing. The island is one of the best known historc sites of American diaspora. The monastery has a large collection of books, journals, artifacts and the third largest collection of Armenian manuscripts.

Magnificent villas in Liberty style, churches dating back to the 16th century, the characteristic Borgo Antico of Malamocco that remembers Venice with its “calli” and, last but not least, the famous Venice Film Festival!
A morning run by the sea or along the Murazzi breathing fresh air, a tennis match, one day on the golf course, rowing in the lagoon…these are just some of the various activities that the Lido offers to sport lovers. Not only can you enjoy plenty of activities but you can also practice them in a breath-taking location.
Surely nature is one of the key words of Lido: amazing sunsets on the lagoon, beautiful sunrises on the side of the sea, green areas, wildlife sanctuaries, parks, gardens and so on and so forth! This little island will be able to recharge your energy and your spirit.
Don’t miss the most awaited event of the year! Every September the Lido holds one of the oldest Film Festival and it is filled with actors, journalists and cinema addicted. You can go to the movie premieres in competition or you can take a walk in front of the Palazzo del Cinema waiting for Vips to make their appearance on the red carpet.
The 76th Venice International Film Festival, organized by La Biennale di Venezia and directed by Alberto Barbera, will take place at Lido di Venezia from August 28th to September 7th, 2019. @sruffa1 @artdavidphoto

Cats have always been a part of the city.
Cats in Venice lead secretive lives. Venice is also home to a significant number of cats. At night, when the dogs and their humans are safely tucked up in bed you can sometimes see a sleek dark feline shape patrolling a canalside, or springing over high walls on the nightly hunt.
