♡ Some of you have been following me for YEARS and some of you just started 🙏🏽 I’m so grateful for you ALL for being here!! Here’s a little recap if you’re new -
My name is Danielle and I started The Wanderlover brand to share my love for travel, creativity, and adventure. In just the past few years, I’ve:
✧ Quit my corporate finance job + started working for myself
✧ Learned to surf
✧ Travelled to 22 countries
✧ Hit my first 5-figure month
✧ Lived abroad full-time (...Argentina next!)
✧ Fell in love again after a long time guarding my heart 🥰
It’s been a roller coaster of risk-taking, mindset changes, hard work, late nights learning from mistakes, and stepping outside my comfort zone, but I did everything simply because I knew what I wanted and what needed to be done.
And through sharing my story over the years, I’ve been able to reach and help so many of you who also feel “stuck” - whether it has been through coaching, teaching, or simply inspiring. ☼ My goal is to show you A N Y T H I N G is possible if you put your heart and soul into it ☼
This is only just the beginning! THAAANK YOU for your support, and PLEASE introduce yourself in the comments/DM if you haven’t already !! ❤️
I’m calling today “Throwback Sunday“, I’m not that much into alliterations, they make me feel like I’ve been cast for a Wagner opera, although: Nothing against those, especially Der Ring des Nibelungen, but my vivid imagination always kept picturing Alberich with this super low voice jumping around on the boulders close to the river and then uttering these very serious lines in rhymes and with endless alliterations, and I could so understand why the Rheintöchter couldn’t quite take him serious. But anyway, speaking of rivers: I browsed through the pictures I took over the last weeks and found a couple of this magic sunset exactly one month ago, that is on November 15th, and while I posted one photo back then, this here is actually my favorite of that evening, of course with both bridges. And it really is a coincidence that I started this post with a reference to Wagner’s Ring and the Rhine river and the gold treasure, well, just as much as anything can be a coincidence, there would be a lot to say on this topic and my views are still changing, I think, after they had been pretty much carved in stone for most of my life. Something un-carved it, not sure if it was actually me who did that. From throwback to fast forward: Maybe I’ll have that view on the next 15th again, the bridges for sure, and maybe even a gorgeous sunset. So much for coincidences. I’m not sure whether reminding myself of that evening a month ago really helps with the homesickness I’ve experienced this week, but I’m risking it and see what happens. Now that I’ve thought and also felt about it for a few days, so to speak, I did realize that this was the first time in my life that I was actually feeling homesick. A lot to say on that, too, but not here and now. Have a lovely day! Elephant Stone - Sally Go Round The Sun. Side-note: After I played that song, shuffle play comes up with Nirvana’s “Polly“ and Lynyrd Skynyrd’s “Free Bird“. Surely just a coincidence, and even more surely definitely not helping with homesickness. #sunset#throwback#welljustamonth#notafarthrow#butIcantreallythrow#eastriver#manhattanbridge#brooklynbridge#reflections#newyork#nyc#orangesky#sunsetmagic#justmagic
